Always on the hunt for a nice stylish little snubbie to use as backup? Chiappa (pronounced key-apa) has released a nice new series of revolves, including the Revolver Rhino with 2″ barrel. This may have a short barrel and compact frame (with flat cylinder), but make no mistake, it’s a beefy weapon. The distinguishing feature is obviously how the barrel is mounted on the bottom of the cylinder, rather than the top like other revolvers. This puts the center of gravity much lower and in line with your arm, reducing muzzle flip, so you can put the follow up shots after taking the lead zombie down. The cylinder holds six rounds in a variety of calibers, including .357 magnum, .40 S&W, or even a .357/9mm combo. Because of the unique barrel positioning, you’ve got to adjust your grip to prevent unnecessary damage to your thumbs and fingers. But they’ve got you covered in the instruction manual, so make sure you read up before blasting away.

So you don’t want to wait until the confusion and chaos of a zombie apocalypse to raid an abandoned law enforcement or military base to get your hands on an armored vehicle? Then you should be looking for the Terradyne Inc Gurkha F5 armored vehicle. This behemoth sports a 6.7 L V8 turbo diesel with 300 HP and 660 lb-ft of torque. That’s more than enough to comfortably ride through any herd that happens to be in your way, sitting comfortably in its armored shell. If its good enough for Vin Diesel and his crew in Fast 5, then its more than good enough for an everyday cruise through town, looking for supplies and survivors.

There’s no way the puny fists, teeth and nails of a horder of biters is gonna get through the BRV9/STANAG 2 armor all over this monster. If the crowd is a little too thick, you’ve also got a top hatch and gunner ports to thin the herd.

Mobility is a precious attribute when you’re out on the go. But there’s always a balance of weight, fatigue, speed, and size, when trying to figure out the best mode of transportation. You need something quick enough, but something that will be able to hit some of the smaller trails (or even blaze new trails). Well, the fine folks at BPG Werks have unveiled the DTV Shredder. A dual tracked vehicle (DTV) boasts aggressive tank tracks and a powerful engine that allows for high-speed travel on any terrain, in any season. It is a rugged, multi-application workhorse for law enforcement, military, hunting, farming and other industries.

So now you’ve got speed, mobility throughout the seasons, and the ability to carry plenty of gear on your expeditions, all in a compact powerful package. No doubt, this thing also looks like a blast to ride around. Why not have some fun when you’re out there, avoiding zombies?

This is the Les Baer Custom 25th Anniversary Model 1911, and is a testament to their standing as the world leader in the production of custom 1911 pistols. This beautiful piece of art starts life as a fully equipped and fully functional Baer Premier II pistol, the flagship of the Les Baer 1911 product line, and still the standard against which all other 1911 pistols are judged. I bet you it even sounds nicer than your 1911 when you squeeze the finely tuned trigger.

We here at ZPrepared are fans of blades, and knives in general. They’re always a good item to have on you, since they are small and easy to carry. Plus a good knife can serve as a tool, or a weapon. But if you’re carrying a knife with you everywhere, why not make it a piece of art as well. The Begg Knives Bodega Series semi-custom knives will definitely be an attention grabber. Who knows, maybe even the undead will stop and take notice, before you plunge the blade into the base of a zombie’s skull. Each Bodega is hand fitted and assembled for the smoothest opening action. These babies go fast, so if you want one, you’ve probably got to to move fast, like if a zombie just burst through the door.

Zombies…I mean, they’re still a threat on the back of our minds. Not since the fan favorite, Zombie Combat Manual, has there been a structured, streamlined approach to dealing with the undead. At least not until SPAZ Combat…

The men and women at SPAZ are aiming to rectify that. SPAZ (Self Preservation Against Zombies) is a simplified, yet solid approach that aims to minimize the amount of techniques one must learn in self defense (or preservation) scenarios.

The SPAZ Combat System has been developed by a group of skilled martial artists, following in Bruce Lee’s footsteps, to take only what is useful in a zombie encounter, and leave the rest for the movies. Concepts of leverage, anatomical alignment, and other scientific sounding mumbo jumbo is what gives SPAZ the edge when dealing with the undead.

C’mon…The zombie’s neck fits right in there.

I was just going to leave it at that, but I guess we should elaborate. The WORX JawSaw is a 5-amp electric chainsaw, with a blade guard that doubles as a handy guide for limbs and necks, when fending off undead hordes. Of course every day use will be to clear branches and shrubs that obstruct your view when you’ve got people watching for intruders. Plus this comes with an extension pole, so you can take down limbs (plant or zombie) from up to twelve feet away.

The drawback is that this is an electric saw, so you’re going to only really use this to defend the safe house (as long as you’ve got a good sturdy extension cable). That is, unless, you’ve got a crazy inventor type (*ahem* Patrick Priebe) to rig up some type of battery back pack, and hook this baby up.

Every survival team needs a wacky inventor to make it easier to take care of the everyday zombie cleanup. We all need a William Peltzer to come up with things like the Bathroom Buddy, but it’s always nice to have someone a little nuts, like Patrick Priebe making things like…oh perhaps… A Crossbow That Shoots Saw Blades! This beast, dubbed the Blade Driver, fires 50mm saw blades, which it starts spinning, while the freaking thing is loaded, and ready to fire.

It doesn’t look like the most practical, or even accurate weapon, but still, this is the kind of guy that would thrive if he had a team of survivalists bringing him piles of salvage that could still be useful in the right situations. Once the Blade Driver is perfected, we’ve got no doubt you’ll be seeing knock-offs knocking the heads off of the undead.

I know you’ve got that “go to” pistol that you bring on every run with you. I know you love how it shoots, but wish sometimes you could shoot from a more stable platform. I know the last thing you want to do is pick up someone else’s SMG or rifle to put a zombie down. I guess Sig Sauer also knows that, since they’ve released this Adaptive Carbine Platform for use with any accessory rail equipped pistol, letting you convert it to a personal defense weapon. Now you can trick this pony out, with sights, lasers, bungee slings, and even a shoulder stock for a solid firing solution.

Plus it lets your pistol dress the part, since you’ve always got it barking at the zeds when the rest of your buddies have their fancy sub machine guns.
