First Sip 5 x 8.75 Watercolor on Arches Bristol paper
Painted from a photo of MM - taken by her husband on a trip to the east coast. I saw it on flickr, loved the light and the pose, and the moment captured there, so I asked permission to paint it. Yesterday, while flying from Alaska back to California, I painted the hours away.

I really like this painting, love the peaceful moment and the light shining in from the left.
You painted on the PLANE??? Wow, Belinda, you've got the steadiest hand ever. Beautiful painting. Love that light on her face and hands.
Hi Belinda! I have to remember that there are options to watching movies and being bored on a plane. Beautiful work, and I hope you had a great time in Alaska!
Thanks all - yes, it was a great time in Alaska. Painting/drawing on the plane is great fun, and as long as the flight is smooth, and your seat neighbor doesn't mind, I highly recommend it.
