    My Daughter's Doodles

Galloping Horse I've just set up a blog, My Doodle Book, to showcase some of my children's drawings. Tara, my eldest daughter who's 8, is really good at art and notices the finest of details when she is drawing. It's quite spooky actually how like her daddy she is when she's drawing...

Many moons ago Stan used to draw too (he studied Art up to A-Level). I was always fascinated by the movements of his eyes as he got to work on a piece; they darted about so quickly back and forth from the object to the page. Tara does exacly the same thing... takes in tiny details and immediately puts them on paper.

I realised a long time ago she had inherited Stan's skill for art but today when she handed me two pages of her work I was stunned... so much so that I decided it was time to show them off to the big wide world!

She had been sitting next to me on the sofa as she drew and the pictures were completed in about 30 minutes. The two horses were copied from a book but she didn't trace them. She just kept looking at them and then drawing what she saw. Please go and check them out... she'll be thrilled if you like them :) :)
