Bon Iver played P4K (pics) & Daytrotter (MP3) -- now on tour

Bon Iver is out on tour and making his way to NYC to play two sold out shows in less than a week from now. On Sunday he played a set at the Pitchfork Fest in Chicago.
Justin Vernon expands Bon Iver to a four-piece and they infuse the lonesome, dark-night-of-the-soul songs on his debut album a with a communal, campfire glow. [Chicago Tribune]More pics from that below...

bon iver means "good winter" in french, but it's actually not spelled correctly, on purpose though.
i think he calls himself this b/c he wrote the songs while in isolation in a cabin in the middle of nowhere during a winter.
it's not your typical mellow, boring singer-songwriter shit.

Bon Iver's management allowed us to do a Limited Edition Screenprint Poster for the Detroit (Pontiac) show this past Monday. Everyone was so cool, great music, amazing show....so good live...don't miss this show! Check out our poster....we used gold metallic ink in the design....turned out strong....the JPEG doesn't do the design justice.

Bon Iver played the third stage at P'frk, and it was the weekend's biggest scheduling mistake--sound bleed from the main stages wasn't too bad for other third-stage performances, but BI was up against the last half of Spiritualized set and the first half of Dinosaur Jr.'s. We gave up after about three songs and headed for Dino.

Saw him at St. Giles Church in London back in July. Awesome. I'm a big fan of the album but some of the live renditions were even more impressive. His voice carries perfectly live. Please post if you have extra tickets.

...there have been a number of Williamsburg Music Hall shows that received no love. Bon Iver, !!!, Presets. I wonder why.
