A friend sent me this San Fransisco Chronicle article about a recent visit by Bear Owsley to the Bay Area.  The article  was written by Joel Selvin, the Chronicle's Senior Pop Music Editor. He says that Owsley has "mellowed" recent and he might be right. Bear even let him publish his picture (from 1966) in the article, something he would not let me do when I interviewed him a few years ago.
