Basically i have learned more in ONE week here then i could have ever guessed. I will try to share more on this blog but it is hard because i do not have as much time as i thought i would. But for now I am doing great and meeting alot of people. Caterpillar is a really great company and it is so interesting to see how people from 20 to 70 work together to make a 40 billion dollar company run.

This summer in Peoria working for Caterpillar

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_tYQmYbhHPbo/SDIXXnouS5I/AAAAAAAAAEo/Qd6aSPNCBtQ/s320/Picture+1.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5202246214110563218" />
Well I am all moved in. I am currently in the middle of a city which is dead in the middle of cornfields. I have to say it is an area i did not expect to be like it is. Peoria sits on the river side with a large lake Peoria directly next to it. I would have never imagined something like this to be in central Illinois. However like i said before you drive in any direction for 4 miles and you will end up in the corn fields. I am yet to take pictures and i promise there will be many, so untill then I will just leave you with your imaginations and google images.

ALSO, my goal with this experience, from a bailey scholars perspective, is to share what it is like to work as a corporate intern in a fortune 100 company. I am yet to have much to pass on other then i will be working as Global Supply Chain Mgmt as Logistics and IT. My job description says
"This position is responsible for providing support to complete various logistics projects. Responsibilities include gathering, data analysis, project plan development and implantation."

This is very vague and I know i will be able to explain in more detail all I hope to accomplish through out this summer later on.
So keep coming back and please leave comments so you can join in on my summer internship.

HELLO WORLD

Hello World!! I have created this blog simply for all my friends to track my travels on study abroad. However I am not leaving till 2009. So what should i do with my gmail blog account. BLOG!! As many of my friends know I love to hate snakes. My brother and I started catching snakes (watersnakes) up north when we were little. Walking around with the longest sticks we could find, we would look for snakes to pick up. We were always to afraid to pick most of them up, and so the love/deathly scared of relationship began. Any snake show on tv is my favorite, and browsing youtube for poisonous snakes is my favorite way to procrastinate. The video below is one of my favorite videos of a giant cobra. It will serve as my opening media for this blog. Keep in touch because in the future I hope to post all the pictures and movies I take along my way.
