Alec Baldwin is in a lot of hot water after his now famous “thoughtless little pig” voicemail to his 11 year old daughter was release by TMZ.  Alec has released a statement explaining his actions on his website.

“Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child,” he wrote. “I’m sorry, as everyone who knows me is aware, for losing my temper with my child. I have been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now. You have to go through this to understand. (Although I hope you never do.) I am sorry for what happened. But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case.”

I feel for Alec because I believe his failed relationship with Kim Bassinger has grown so evil that it is now putting his child in the middle.  However as a parent he should be getting more respect from his daughter and she should be able to do one little thing — answer the phone and talk to her father.  If more parents stepped up and gave their children a bit of a rude awakening every now and again maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. Look at all the wonderful kids that were treated like royalty growing up - Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian, and Nicole Richie to name a few. Maybe if their parents had put their foot down once they wouldn’t make headlines for being such idiots!
