What a pretty columbine. I love the ones that are double. I wish they did well in our heat down here and I had more shade so I could grow more of them.

Looks like a Winky? We saw some for the first time last year but I like the single forms better with their long spikes which makes for a slightly less symmetrical look.

I adore columbine, Chris and have NEVER seem 'Double European Columbine'. Does that lovely plant belong to you? I also photographed my flowering Norway Maple that delights me each April (for over 30years) yet exasperates me with lingering leaves each fall.

Thanks everyone. With all the events in the last couple of days I won't be able to return to many visits this week.

joey, thanks for the visit. I actually bought this at a local nursery the other day and planted it. The Estate has some nice Columbines but they seem to disappear and pop from seeds in a different places.

I know what you mean about the Norway Maple it is a frustrating and beautiful tree at the same time.
