SFR finishes 2007 with more than 350,000 3G/3G+ mobile TV subscribers
Wednesday, January 16th, 2008In late December 2007, SFR crossed the milestone of 350,000 subscribers to its 3G/3G+ TV-on-mobile service. Compared to the 70,000 subscribers at the end of December 2006 this represents a 5-fold increase over a year ago.
The significant growth in the number of subscribers in 2007, including the last quarter of the year, reflects the richness of the SFR TV offer and the successful launch of new unlimited pricing plans (SFR Illimythics).
The SFR mobile 3G/3G+ service consists of more than 80 TV channels, in 3G+ high definition quality, spread over three bouquets:
- PASS TV at 6 euros per month, including about twenty channels,
- PASS CANAL+ at 8 euros per month including five channels,
- PASS CANALSAT at 10 euros per month, including nearly sixty channels.
SFR was the first operator to launch a 3G TV-on-mobile offer in November 2004 and a TV bouquet on mobile (CANALSAT Mobile) in June 2005.
SFR currently covers 70% of the population with 3G/3G+. SFR’s 3G/3G+ customers benefit from rates of up to 3.6 Mbps for multimedia services on mobile.
