I need a timing light that will work with a mag does anyone know what i need and where to get it I need the one with the dial

It'll use the same one you have, they pick up the impulse going to the spark plug.

MSD makes a good light that works with a mag. Chad check with Matt he will tell you what the part number is he has one.

SEARS IS WHAT WE USED FOR YEARS AND THAY LOOK JUST LIKE MSD SO SAVE SOME MONEY AND JUST PUT ON THE MSD STICKERS I WONT TELL

We have always used a "buzz box" for our vertex mag and set the timing with it.

The Buzz box will not work on the new MSD mags as they have no points.
