Who cried and who wore what!

The bride chose wildflowers to put in the back of her hair and the President's eyes dampened with tears as JENNA BUSH took her vows on Saturday. Gown designer LELA ROSE is giving us the scoop on the first daughter's outdoor wedding, from the bridesmaids' dresses to the cake!

"The sun was setting right as they were exchanging their vows, and it just could not have been a prettier wedding," Lela says. "There were several happy tears shed by most everyone. I did see a little dampness in the President's eyes!" 

Lela has designed dresses for KATHERINE HEIGL, SOPHIA BUSH and more celebrities, so making dresses for Jenna and her bridesmaids was a natural.

Because the Saturday nuptials were held outdoors on the Bushes' Crawford, Texas ranch and bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas, Lela said she made all of the 14 bridesmaids dresses out of blues and lilacs (see sketches above). 

There were seven different shades and seven styles so no two girls had the same dress. "They all had these hand-done rosette details, some were at the neck, some made kind of a tank shape." A lot of the styles had pockets and included an antique silver sash.

For first daughter BARBARA's halter dress, Lela used a shimmery silk with a metallic pattern that they hand-dyed to match her eyes -- a sort of icy blue. She said it was Jenna and Barbara's idea to put wildflowers in their hair. "Barbara walked down first and you saw that wreath and it was so stunning," she says.

At the ceremony, Jenna wore a structured organza wedding gown by OSCAR DE LA RENTA with embroidery, a bit of matte beading and a short train, and the 200 or so guests applauded once the vows were said. Later at the tented reception, the couple cut the wedding cake, a tres leches confection, and Jenna changed into a dancing gown made by Lela, a tank dress with silver medallions all over it.

She and the President chose "You Are So Beautiful" for their father-daughter dance and she and new hubby HENRY HAGER danced to "Lovin' in My Baby's Eyes." Guests enjoyed a dinner of Southwestern food with a Mexican influence and the party went on past 1:30 a.m.!

"You could feel how much all the family adored one another. It was family and close friends only. The Bush family was really able to let loose!"
