2008 was the first full year of the forum, and pretty much the time when everything that’s happened yet happened, so there are quite a few warm memories and good discussions from 2008. Here’s 10 of my favorite:
- MPGuino Release One: The MPGuino is a DIY, fuel economy tool that grew up right here on EcoModder and has helped a lot of people improve their fuel economy.
- Aerocivic: It wouldn’t be unfair to say that the aerocivic changed the way people look at DIY aerodynamics modifications.
- Project ForkenSwift: EcoModder Co-founder Darin Cosgrove’s own electric car build thread.
- 5th Generation Civic Hatchback Aerodynamics: Another great aeromodding thread on a Civic Hatch.
- Electric Motorcycle Conversion: A great DIY thread from Ben Nelson on building his own electric motorcycle.
- Reviving a Honda Insight: A great story of one guy bringing an Insight back to life.
- Dream Prius: If you could hack up a Prius for fuel economy, this is what it might look like.
- Aero Truck Bed Cap: Trucks are one of the best candidates for aeromods and the bed cap is number one on that list.
- Electro-Metro Build Thread: Another sweet project from Ben Nelson.
- List of Aero Mods: A good collection of aero mods for any car.
