My pick on some of this weekend premiere games
The OSU over Wisc 35-14. Too easy for them.
Kansas over Nebraska by 7. From VT@#3, he's BAD.
Florida takes out its frustration on Vandy by 14.
South FlA over Cincy easy.
Mich St put the whipping on Mich. 24-14.
I can't believe some picked OSU. TX wins Big.
The Ducks get a big lead early and ASU doesn't comeback on this one.
Spurrier watches McFadden run over his Cock(s).
Oklahoma tramples A and AM, 35-10.
Trojans beat the Beavers. Hell they have to win sometime, right?
Midshipmen finally get one from the Irish.
Upset special of the week:
Bama makes Rammer Jammer, Sweet Home, Big Tide proud--the Tide rolls 28-21.GO DAWGS!!

#16: GA Boy, The only thing that "hurts" is my head while hearing from mutt fans who are still defending this stunt even after Richt has apologized for it. This season has gone about the way I expected for the Gators (you'll notice I haven't made any bold predictions about upcoming games at any point in this season). Just thought it was funny - look out for Troy!

Cowbell05,
I know that I am jumping the gun here a little bit, but I want to see an LSU vs Oregon NC game. Both defenses would have to adapt to a style of offence that they are not accustom to playing. Could Oregon stop LSU from pounding it up the middle all day long? Could LSU handle Oregon’s high speed spread offence? I get goosbumps just thinking about these teams playing each other for a NC!Duckman said:

I can't blame Duckman. If you win the NC, you want it to be over the team that everyone thinks is the best around. Not that it wouldn't be sweet either way, but winning the NC in a game against LSU or Ohio St would be fantastic for the Ducks. I don't think LSU will be there though. Bama will beat them tomorrow.

You talking about my ranking the conferences blog, Cowbell? Yeah, I was wrong on that one. Old Sylvester's got them other DAWGS going ok, and you get the edge on Ole Miss, Vandy, Ark, and since you just beat them I guess KY. You beat AU too, but I don't think you could do it again this year. I guess when I did that I had seen what TN and WV did to you. That was pretty ugly. The off week should be good for you before the Tide comes to town.
UofSC
You get Clemson EVERY year and we get Tech EVERY year. Is that not enough on top of SEC teams? We beat an Okla St team pretty easily and that is a team that I might add everyone on here is picking to beat the Longhorns (not me-TX wins big.) Besides that, we play some pretty week OOC games. Who cares right? DAWGS have been to a bowl every year since 1997. OOC record in that time frame (BCS conferences only-we won all non BCS conference games of course) is 18-5. 4 loses to ACC (3 Tech and 1 BC pre-ACC). 12-4 ACC, 4-0 Big 10, 2-0 Big 12, 0-1 Big East. I would like to see the DAWGS play a Big 10 schedule.GO DAWGS!!

Yo! UofSC'78 (Post 28), that's Big Least, to you (Big Easty? Yeeesh!!!).
OK, my turn……
Clemson (24) at Duke: NO!!!
WI (19) at OSU (1): It's as simple as this: OSU has a defense; WI doesn't!
NE at KS (8): Huskers finally learned how to play ball; they have to learn how to win; KS.
Vandy at FL (17): Vandy may not be Duke, but FL is NOT Clemson; Gators.
Troy at GA (10): Men of Troy make it a game; were it at Troy, I too would be calling for the upset; GA.
TN Tech at Auburn (16): See Vandy at FL.
San Jose ST at Boise ST (22): In a battle of city states, the longer name falls; Boise.
Cinci at S FL (21): Bulls end a slide; Bear-Cats' slide continues.
MI (14) at MI ST: That's *MI* St, not Appy St; Wolverines.
TX (12) at OK ST: Horns need a road win; Cow Boys need win more; OK ST.
LSU (3) at AL (18): Tough Call!!! Between the Saban saga and 95,000 screaming fans in Tuscaloosa, one might think AL will pull it off. Guess again. Tide makes it close; they don't pull it off.
MO (9) at CO: Tigers didn't win in Norman, but will win where Sooners couldn't.
AS ST (6) at OR (4): Ducks will beat the #6 team in the land and not move an inch in the polls.
Rutgers at UConn (20): UConn's "D" hasn't given up more than 17 pts to anyone; offense is struggling a bit. I'll go with the Huskies.
FL ST at BC (2): Seminoles are a year away; in the mean time, it's BC.
SC (25) at AR: The puns I've been considering……Let's just say SC wins.
TX A&M at OK (5): See TX/OK St.
OR ST at USC (15): Trojans bounce back (Probably should have said, "See SC/AR.")As for the rest, I like PA St over Purdue, Wake over VA, Pitt over the Cuse, Miami over NC St, KS St over IA St, ECU over Memphis, BYU over CO ST; Navy at ND, Irish notch their 2nd win; UCLA over AS, MD over NC, Stanford over WA, IL over MN, and Cal over WA St. Enjoy!!!

U. of S. C. 1978,
Your stats are far to vague to extract any knowledge out of them. How many top 25 teams, currently ranked or ranked at the time of the game (please indicate which), have each conference lost to. You also need to indicate how many wins each conference has against ranked teams, that way we can see how many ranked teams that conference played. Tracking? The devil is in the details. If you don’t cherry pick and you make a sincere attempted at being unbiased, you will find that while the SEC is above average, they are not dominant. I it is almost offending to believe that there is great football outside of the SEC, but it is true.

I see everyone (and even Mark May on ESPN) is picking Florida State over BC. What is this grounded in? Bowden is 4-8 in his last 12 ACC games and this one's in Chestnut Hill. All I can think of is a lack of respect for Matt Ryan and the BC defense. I would be surprised if FSU comes close to covering the 6.5 point spread.

#44: Mike's Dogs - I was wondering about that too. As much as I'd like to see FSU win this one, I just can't pick them over BC (not this year, anyway). Seems like people are betting on history and ignoring current events in the run up to this game.
#45 UMICH blows your school - Oh yeah, there's no homers up north who still think the Big 10++ is the best conference. All the homers are here in the south.

Mike's Dogs & Ramblin Gator, I'm with you guys. Check out post #38, 7th line from the bottom. I picked BC to win this one. Matt Ryan is for real; BC's "D" hasn't been given enough respect, and as you've already said it, Mike, it's a home game for the Eagles. I don't think it's in the cards for the Noles, not this time around anyway.

it doesn't matter what happens the rest of this game(right now its 20-17 Ala)
if LSU pulls it out, and some idiot votes them #1, I'm going to lose my dinner.
That is not even close to the best team in the country. I've been witnessing some of the sloppiest, dirtiest football I've seen in a while.
LSU wants to complain about the chop block on Dorsey, and then goes out and plays like street thugs.
Either Ohio State or Oregon would embarass LSU.
On the bright side, if LSU loses, we won't have to listen to the "experts" telling us how wonderful they are.Just my humble opinion, of course.

Lennie #65, don't count your chickens before they hatch. As crazy as this year, almost anything can happen. If Texas wins out and most of the top 10 right now ends up with at least two losses, Texas could have a legitimate shot a BCS bowl. Quite a bit would have to happen, but then again, quite a bit had to happen for Texas to make that great comeback today. Hook'em Horns.

"Either Ohio State or Oregon would embarass LSU"
That is a ridiculous statement. LSU is their biggest opponent. They did not play well. I still can't believe that a team can turn it over 3 times,, 13 penalties and win a game. Best team on the field, worst team composure I have seen all year.
I would like to see Oregon in the NC game, they deserve it. They will beat OSU if that is the game.

Lennie, Texas could easily be undefeated right now. If it wasn't for a Jamaal Charles fumble inside the 5, he would've scored, and that game worst case scenario (for Texas) is that the game goes into OT. If they played decently in the game against KSU; not even a good game, but decent, they would've won that. Then Texas would be undefeated and possibly ranked #1. As you said, there is still a lot of football to be played. Texas could play their way in and other teams can play their way out.

Man, I can't believe that Alabama couldn't hold on to that game. What the frick was JPW doing slinging that ball around near the goal line like that? It must stink to be a Bama fan right now.
Les Miles is one lucky son of a bitch!!
Is Kansas that good or is Nebraska D that bad? I vote on a little of both but more toward Nebraska D is that bad.
Looks like Arkansas is getting warmed up again. Just as I predicted with McFadden running all over them (not to mention Felix Jones.) Over 250 yards rushing in the 1st half. Let's see if they can hold on. I am sure the ol ball coach has some left in the tank tonight.
Texas found a way to pull one out. Way to go Longhorns.
Just as I predicted, OK putting it on A and M and FLA gave Vandy a beatdown. Ohio State made it interesting and them made it look easy. It's up to Zook to knock them off because that Michigan team won't beat them.
The Ducks looking every bit like a championship team to me. Should be smooth sailing to the championship game with what they have left.
I was suprised that the Spartans could not pull it out against the Wolverines (don't ask me why but I really thought they would win that one.)The real question is if we can get over the "home team" curse in the Auburn game and beat them at home for a change. Let's go DAWGS!! Beautiful day in Athens today. Moreno is something special. He has some big games ahead of him. I hope they give it to him 35 times against Auburn. the nd-navy game....oh my god...what in the hell was charlie doing.....gibby gives you great field position, and for some reason with a little over a minute, tied game 2nd. down, inside the 30...and you decide to throw a out pattern....it is incomplete...and you stop the clock.....
any other kind of play.....a draw....an end around....hell a screen play but, don't throw to the sidelines....you don't need to stop the clock......run the ball for two downs, milk the clock to about 6 or 7 seconds and give your team a chance to win....he owed it to the players, after the season they have been having.....kick the damn field goal..if you miss...it goes into overtime anyway....
and in the first quarter....he had a chance to go up 10 - 0 but instead goes on 4th and 15...they don't convert...and navy goes down the field and ties it up.......
i don't care how die-hard of an irish fan you are.......this loss is charlies to bare....not his players...they gave it all today...and got ripped off by questionable play calling by their head coach......
jmho.....
to bama fans.....shake it off...tough loss...man you guys played great tonight....but for some reason....those tigers just seem to get it done in the end.....
congrats to fsu...looks like it is over for b.c......

That's a win we needed desperately to give us confidence if nothing else. We beat the #2 team on the road, in cold and wet weather and we played well on both sides of the ball.
The schedule is still unkind. We play @VT, Maryland @ home, and finish @UF but that should really boost our confidence heading into a big road game again next weekend.
It's hard to get TOO excited because we've got no shot @ the ACC title but...
I'll take 8-4 or 9-3 with this brutal schedule with our new coaches only being here a year.
It's much better then 6-6 with a weak ass schedule.

What a sloppy game that was. This team needs discipline bad. And WTF kind of bullshit was that on 4th and inches (with a bull for a tail back) to shuffle the line to try and get an incroachement? Give it to the bull and turn him loose!!! For all the haters, I'm talking about the play of LSU. I too can call it like I see it. The bottom line, of course, is that LSU won. But how many times does it have to come down to the very end to pull it out? Stupid penalties, taking your helmet off(15 yrds.....after he false started), a late hit on the QB (Tyson Jackson......again). Les admitted it himself in the post game. "This team will never play that poorly again". That remains to be seen Les. When Saban was here, he never....ever....put up with bullshit penalties like that. I'm not one of the Saban haters. He started this ball rolling and now the machine feeds itself (recruiting). He's the one who got this program turned around and raised the level of expectations. Of course, I'm pissed that he came back to college football, but only because he didn't have the hindsight to see what the pro's would really be like and turn down the Dolphins in the first place. And it didn't help that he came back to the SEC but as a coach, a motivator of young men, he's one of the best.
@ grcunning:
"if LSU pulls it out, and some idiot votes them #1, I'm going to lose my dinner."LOL
Hope you didn't have soup. That would be ugly. I agree to a point..they didn't play like the best team in the country tonight but with wins against 5 RANKED TEAMS...it shouldn't surprise you that much. And if they make it to the SEC championship game, that'll be 6 ranked teams.
Compare that to the other "big boys":
Ohio St.....played 2 ranked teams
Boston College....2 ranked teams (ps..Thx Jimbo)
Oregon.....3 ranked teams
Oklahoma.....2 ranked teams
Kansas......1 ranked teamThat's got to be worth something.
"Either Ohio State or Oregon would embarass LSU"...uhhhhh....ok....lol.
While I think both of those are great football teams...especially Oregon....embarass LSU? You're kidding right?....making a funny?....drinking Hater-Ade? I lean towards the latter but you are more than entitled to your opinion.
We're not even close to being finished though. Tough games against Ole Miss (at Ole Miss) and Arkansas (Darren McFadden...need I say more) are yet to be played so maybe you'll get your wish.
But maybe not
And it's been 3 hours since your post and not one of the "experts" has come on here to gloat so you can let that one go.And that is just my humble opinion......of course.

Nice picks guys. Way to go for everyone who picked Duke to beat Clemson. That was close. I was worried right up until...oh wait, I wasn't.
C-dogg, why don't you worry about beating NC State before you toss out huge upset claims like that. Just think, Clemson will forever be undefeated in the Orange Bowl.
Alabama played a great one today. I thought they were robbed on a few calls. That's a very tough loss.
South Florida is very overrated. I'm not trying to take anything away from Cincinnati, but they did not impress me, and haven't. They did beat Auburn, but I think that says more about the Tigers (or is it War Eagles?) than it does about the Bulls.
South Carolina lost their 3rd in a row today. It really should be 4th (one caught pass in the endzone for the 'Heels and it would be). Could it be 5 in a row? I think so.
Great game by the 'Noles today. I've not understood why no one has given them any credit all year. After all, that Alabama team that came so close to knocking off LSU today did get handled by the 'Noles on Sept. 29th.
I'm still quite befuddled as to how Virginia beat Wake Forest. Sure they missed a game winning field goal, but it shouldn't even have come to that. UVA seems to be getting the breaks this year.
Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Ohio State looked good. Michigan and Texas did not.
I don't give UConn much credit for beating Rutgers. Rutgers was handled by Maryland, after all.
I don't ever give human polls much credit at all (except Master Coaches), so for me, it will be quite intriguing to see how the computers rank all of this tomorrow.
Like all of yours', here's mine. Opinions, of course.

@103 Clemson Joe,
Hey...I throw out silly predictions every week...some will stick eventually. My scores may be off, but my % is still hovering around 70%. ;o)
Please don't start with Clemson.....they will be watching the national title game @ home this year....just like my Canes.
BTW...when was the last time you guys at least PLAYED for the national title? (let alone won it) Just curious. Continue to hang your hat on a meaningless Orange Bowl victory that did not even propel you guys to the ACC title game...let alone a BCS game.
If you are new aroung here...you'll learn. C-dogg bites back when provoked. Check the archives for some classic smack from me. It's been a while....ready for round one?

Picks this week...
Ohio State over Wisconsin - their one tough game this year is the same as last year Michigan
Michigan over Michigan St - Wolverines are hot now
Texas over OSU
LSU over Bama - The week off will help LSU more and get them back on track
Missouri over Colorado - not close
Oregon over ASU - Oregon may deserve a NC game
Rutgers over UConn - no fair catch returns for TD this time
Kansas over Nebraska - OMG how bad is CallahanUpset specials
Arkansas over SC - no good reason, this is FSU's bowl game
MAYBE FSU over BC - not so sure about this but dare to dreamI missed Rutgers over UConn, pretty surprised about that, and I was born in Connecticut. Thought FSU could win that game, but not totally sure.
This year is still the biggest reason ever for a playoff, how many top 2 teams have lost. This is crazy. Too bad Ohio State has same cake schedule as last year, probably same result as last year.

Yeah, I was a little bit hasty in saying that OSU or Oregon would embarass LSU.
I just hate it when I see a team with that much talent play sooo poorly.
What I really meant was that if LSU played like that, with 150 yards of stupid penalties, multiple turnovers, questionable 4th down calls by the coach, they could easily lose by 20+ against a top team.
And you're right, a win is a win. I should know this after watching the 2002 OSU team win multiple games in overtime, and end up winning it all. I do think that LSU should be punished a bit in the polls after that performance.
my new top 51) OSU - maybe the over-rated chants will finally stop
2)Ore - that Dixon is something else, a cool character
3) Kan - they have to be rewarded for putting up 70+
4) LSU - Miles needs to get them under control
5) OU - just kind of hanging aroundtheBUCKEYEstopshere said:

@101 Geauxtigers0107
Ohio St. has played 3 ranked teams Purdue, Penn St., and the Badgers. When they play that team up north it will be 4, and actually you might see the fighting Zookers break into the top 25 so it could be 5. But hey if saying the Buckeyes only play 2 ranked teams makes you feel better, then by all means, be my guest.

O.K. I'll say it since no one else will.
The Nebraska defense had a secret meeting to plan this blowout. Look @ the film...they got blown off the ball @ every position. They want a new coach & they will get their wish after that Kansas game. Can you say QUITTERS?

i would like to see oregon vs. ohio state. that would be a good game
for the next three weeks, florida is one of my favorite teams. sorry georgia, i just dont think that you could take out LSU in the SEC championship

hrposon@115
you're right about that, tOSU's schedule isn't that tough this year, but you can't blame them for the weaknesses in the big10. OSU tries to help other teams in Ohio for financial reasons, but if they knew how down the big10 was going to be, I don't think they would have scheduled 3 in state schools.
Starting next year we have home-and-home with USC, then Miami, Cal and OU.
I imagine that if USC stinks next year, OSU will still be blamed for scheduling a weak sister, huh?Another thing that I find interesting is that all of a sudden, no one can point out a single weakness in OSU's on the field play, so they can only cry schedule, schedule, schedule.
Where are the multitudes screaming that we have no offense? no quarterback? no receivers? no tailback?
If you can point out one team in the country that is more complete, EVERY WEEK, I'm more than willing to look at the tapes, I just haven't seen them.
And if you just want to judge a team by the number of ranked teams they've played, then how about this:
Kentucky(the ranked team that beat LSU),sits at 24 on Sagarin, one spot BELOW PENN STATE, the 'overrated' Big10 team that OSU completely manhandled.Clemson Joe said:

C-dogg (#107):
Actually I'm not at all new around here. I have been MIA for about 2 months due to having to take some examinations pertaining to my career. The best way for me to focus is to withdraw from some of my loves until they are over. I hated every second of it, but it worked out well. Regardless, I'm back now.
Anyway, I thought the only thing pertinent right now is the results from this weekend. I don't have a problem with Miami at all. I am an ACC fan period. However, saying that Duke will beat my team is taken as a slap in the face, and since your boys received a pretty solid slap in the face in CG on Saturday, I thought I'd remind you of that. I don't really care if you bite back. You slap me, I'll return the favor. No, we won't be playing for the National Championship game, but at least we can still win the ACC. That NC State loss took your boys out of it. If we win our next 2, we're in. I would really like to see a win from your boys next Saturday though. I'm very tired of Virginia winning games they shouldn't. Those final 2 games are going to be tough. If the 'Canes can pick up one from those it would be great. Best of luck.

Col, the team that beat OU, is now 43rdjust counting the number of ranked teams you've played doesn't tell the whole story.

So far this year Oregon has played 3 top 10 teams. LSU has played 6 top 18 teams. Ohio St has played 2 teams ranked 23 and 24. These are all ranking at the time the game was played. There is no way that you can compare the difficulty of strength.
I think Ohio St looks pretty good right now, but the problem for me is that they really haven't had the tough competition of the other top teams. Do they deserve to drop because of that? I don't know. Why is it that Ohio St is ranked so far ahead of Hawaii? Or even Kansas? You may think that is a silly question, but they have both beat every one they have played as well. Have they played competition like some other teams, I don't think that is even in question, no. Kansas looked really good yesterday, but still played only one ranked team (#24). If Ohio St played the same schedule as Oregon, or LSU how would they be standing now? Each week people keep trying to claim that they will have their test, but it's often against an unranked team. Michigan should be a good opponent for them, oh but they lost to a team that is not even in the same division. Honestly all this talk about who lost to who is sometimes over-rated. If you play a tough enough schedule anything can happen at any level. Michigan is a good team, regardless of their loss to A St.
So my point is that the schedule does not mean Ohio St is not good. We just have no idea how good. Last year it bit them in the ass to not have the tough regular season competition, nobody was ever in a game with them. Michigan got stomped too in their bowl game. So those two teams were head and shoulders above the rest in the Big 10 last year, but not necessarily in the country.
I just think that with a year like this, there is too many teams that deserve a shot in the NC game, too many. Unfortunate that is the case.

Side note: I just looked at the Coaches Poll from last week compared to this week...
Last week (first place votes in ())
1. Ohio State (56)
2. Boston College (3)
3. LSU
4. Oregon (1)
This week
1. Ohio State (55)
2. LSU (1)
3. Oregon (2)
4. Oklahoma (2)
How crazy has this year been. Oregon picks up 1 first place vote, and Ohio St loses 1. Oklahoma picks up 2 for beating a (now) 6-4 Texas A&M. WOW. The coaches flip-flop every week.Since becoming #1 Ohio St, first place votes have been 56 - 58 - 56 - and now 55. Unfortunate the coaches will not allow their ballot to be published until the last one before the bowl games.

ONE complete pass from Kirby Freeman. ONE. I don't care that the one was an 80 yard TD pass - it still took him too long to find the wide open Darnell Jenkins.
I never thought I'd say this, but we really need Kyle Wright back in a hurry.
When you're running the ball on 3rd and 10 because you have absolutely no other choice, you know there's a problem with your QB.
With decent quarterbacking, this team is 8-1.
We just need to win out now [against Virginia, Va Tech, and BC...ouch] and hope the following happens:
Miami beats Virginia, Va Tech, and BC. FSU beats Va Tech next week. Then Va Tech beats Virginia in the finale.
Doubtful. I'm already looking forward to Coach Shannon's brilliant recruiting, which will no doubt bring us back. But I just wish we could have one last hurrah in the Orange Bowl...
It's great to be a Miami Hurricane...get some recruits!

Well, no crowing here today...Most of you guys already know we shot ourselves not just in each foot, but in each and every toe...
I'll say this...LSU's offense is still rounding back into form from the injuries and guys getting back onto the field. We also started Byrd & Tolliver, two first year guys, as they've finally stepped up and moved into starting roles.
On defense, there is nothing you can say about Parker Wilson, other than he made one good read and one good throw on that long bomb. He made another great play on the blitz where he went high to the middle and you got your only score of the 2nd half on offense. He played very poorly, in all honesty. I think that has less to do with his talent as a player and the combination of our talent on defense, our scheme, your lack of pass protection (witness 7 sacks), and most glaringly, your absolute and utter inability to establish any ground attack, period.
We gave you the DJ Hall score because of-imagine that-a dumb penalty on a 3rd down where our defense should've been off the field. Between that and the Special Teams Touchdown, that's 14 points that shouldn't have been, but were.
Other than that, your offense played very poorly.
On defense, Castille was your standard bearer, and he got torched by Demetrius Byrd on that 61 yarder...Sort've odd the way he'd play such close press coverage and jam at the line, and then later in the game, you're playing off of Doucet on the 4th down call when you KNOW if we go pass, we're going to Early there...
I'm not sure that's coaching. I think that's mental errors and/or playing improper technique at crucial situations. In other words, I think the mistakes we made were easily correctable that lead to your crucial scores.
I also think the same thing can be said about the mistakes you made that we capitalized on...
All in all, good game, but the better team won, even if it was ugly & sloppy. Good luck against Moo U next week, and do well in your bowl game.

That and you had all those Louisiana recruits in to see your defense get torched for 470, and the offense give up 7 sacks, complete less than 50% through the air, and rush for a GRAND TOTAL of 20 yards...
Yeah, that Terry Grant...He's a helluva back, ain't he, T-Mac? LOL!!!!!!!!!

a warning to sec fans:
i had heard about the classless, disgusting lsu fans but had never experienced it first hand until this weekend.
- the purple and gold houndstooth hats to disrespect our history and tradition
- literally trashing our campus after the game (as in turning over every garbage can in sight, and leaving all of their gameday trash on the quad)
- trying to start fights with every bama fan in sight (succeeding on several occasions)
- trashing one of our memorialsi think you get the picture.
they were definitely the WORST fans ive ever seen in my life. i actually hate lsu now more than any other team.and then i dont think anyone can argue with the fact that lsu is the dirtiest team in college football. they finally just ran into a ref that wouldnt put up with it. lsu has some MAJOR discipline issues.
lsu looked terrible. the fact that the game was even close should be a red flag.
-JPW completed 14 of 40
-we turned it over twice in our redzone
-we were missing 5 STARTERS due to suspensions
-lsu had twice the talent level on their team
...all of this, and les miles could barely eek out a win. if youre an lsu fan, how in the world could you be happy with him as a coach?? the team acts like a bunch of thugs! but i guess, since yall act the same way, you like that??it was an amazing game though. by far, the most entertaining game ive seen this year. i thought we put up a hell of a fight. but like i predicted, lsu won. they had way more talent, but we almost won because we had a waay better coach.

Sounds like a plan, but are there any other Canes left on Fanblogs?? If you're out there: make 'Get some recruits!' your slogan!!
Hopefully Kyle can come back and make the last game in the O.B. meaningful. The whole crowd was really deflated against NC State, and it was honestly the first time I was ever really compelled to yell something at a certain player as the team went to the locker room, but I honestly couldn't find the words... that's how bad it was, man, there was just nothing to say.
I give Kirby credit for leading the comeback against FSU, but come on... This is unforgivable. I'm already unsure about paying $50 more a game to see the Canes at Wayne Huizenga Stadium - if Kirby is the starter next year, I might just cancel my season tickets...
And I know Daly hit the field goal to force overtime at the buzzer, but missing a 27 yarder in overtime? Unbelievable...
Anyway, let's look forward to next year... new recruits, new quarterback (hopefully) - we should compete.
