madvillainy 2: the box

madvillain :: madvillainy 2

Oh man, this looks so awesome. Sure it's 125 bucks, but you get a lot of cool shit. Stones Throw is "manufacturing based on pre-orders," so cop it now. If that's a little steep for you, you can buy Madvillainy 2: The Madlib Remix now exclusively through Stones Throw's new webstore for only $9.99. I'm sure some won't be happy with a re-working of one of the best albums of the decade, but I bought mine today, and I already feel comfortable calling it the best hip-hop release I've heard all year.

Fuck man. I love Doom but god damn them and their money.

I couldn't believe it at first when they wanted to rerelease Mm Food with some new shit, forcing the true fans who bought his shit beforehand to have to buy the same crap again for only some minor changes.

Jeez. Doesn't really make him seem so authentic in my mind.

Release a new fucking album for christs sake.

This looks so awesome. And just because I bought the MM Food album when it came out (looking in "anonymous"'s direction) it doesn't mean that I also didn't buy the re-release. The bonus shit is fun to collect. If you go to Stones Throw they show all the cool shit you get with it. 125 is steep, but you get tons of shit.

I'm all about Madvillainy, so you gotta appreciate a remix album, good or bad.
