Silicon Knights boss opens door for Eternal Darkness sequel
Silicon Knights shed some light on the possibility of an Eternal Darkness sequel at Microsoft's Spring Showcase 2008.
Is a sequel in the works?
Silicon Knights boss Denis Dyack confirmed to TVG yesterday at Microsoft's spring gaming showcase that an Eternal Darkness sequel is a definite possibility.
While the SK head was understandably focused on the looming release of Too Human, he said his team didn't want to be typecast as a developer of only certain types of games. Reading between the lines, we can infer he might have meant a survival horror game could be next.
"There is a chance; we love all the games we work on. We don't want to be pigeon-holed [into a genre], we want to be known for strong content...There's a strong chance we'll return to it, but there's no announcements yet," he said.
That's a lot of maybe's, but from all indications Dyack seemed very interested in a new addition to the Eternal Darkness brand.
