New MGS 4 Gameplay Footage Courtesy of G4 TV

G4 TV has released a new gameplay video of the long awaited Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The footage demonstrates The new recon droid for MGS4. It also gives gamers a good look at the real time gameplay and the wide variety of weapons that are available. You can ship to a weapon and auto to first person with ease. In this video, your allies, Meryl’s Rat Patrol team, demonstrate smart AI that will actually help you in combat.

Are you kidding me? From what ive seen in this video theres nothing worth playing. The trailers had me all excited but now im realizing that this game is becoming overrated extremely fast.

Steve I only own a PS3 and i was extremely looking forward to this tittle, it was 2nd on my list for reasons to buy my PS3, but more and more i'm desapointed by what I see.

Then Peter, if you have a PS3 and are really that much of an MGS fan, surely you have played the MGO beta and know how good that is? If MGO is anything to go by MGS4 is going to be insane.

Wow Peter…just wow. Looks like shit huh? Is this first gameplay footage you've seen, because if you were that much of an MGS fan IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORON! You would've seen Kojima's demonstrated gameplay and then realized that is so called "shit" and would've stopped being interested!!!!!!!!!! Also this was just showing an intense gunfight with the first "bosses" of MGS 4. It doesn't really show the normal gameplay and interaction with the soldiers…god. However I find the shootout kinda fun - reminds me of Gears of War a little in some ways.

meh. And I was actually going to buy a PS3 to play THIS game? I was so excited about it when all the sony fanboys were acting like this game will be the second coming of Jesus. The more videos I see of it, the more I would rather just buy a xbox 360.

I hate to admit it, but I agree with Peter in some ways about MGS4 hype. I think this game was overrated by all this hype. I was excited about the gameplay feel and controls, but after playing the beta it just feels like the game is gonna be dull after you play it for the first few hours. Hopefully, improvements will be made.

the previous games lack of publicity lowers hype for this and not much for advertising has gone for this game I'm not bashing Halo 3(its a great game) but the ad campaogn budget was a ridiculous amount of money oriving its how hyped it was its only got bug hype over the fans outside of the MGS communities its pretty unknown and its up to sony to make ads to fix that problem!
