Big Guns Contend The Barclays Scottish Open
With just a week to go to the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale the big guns are out in force for The Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond, Scotland.
Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Ernie Els world ranking 2, 3 and 6 respectively head a strong field in this traditional curtain raiser to the main event.
Mickelson finished second last year beaten in a playoff by Frenchman Grégory Havret.
Els is the golfer who has been most successful in the tournament in recent years with wins in 2000 and 2003 he also finished third in 2004 and 2007.
Also in the field are Angel Cabrera, Henrik Stenson, Michael Campbell, Colin Montgomerie, Lee Westwood and Darren Clarke.
