Please tell me you haven’t forgotten the ‘04 election when we were told to decide who was better suited for the Presidency; a “rape, torture, and burn” John Kerry or a “missed a few days of service in the Reserves” George Bush. That somehow, with all the horrible things John Kerry says he saw or did himself, ol’ Johnny boy should be President because he came home from ‘Nam to tell the world we were doing bad things in the war.

Now, we have a kid with no experience in the Military at ALL (no experience in much of any “real life” stuff for that matter) who we’re to believe is better suited for the Presidency in war time than the old guy who flew planes in battle and was captured, imprisoned, and tortured in the line of duty. Apparently the “having it both ways” mentality knows no bounds with our friends on the Left. Obama will apparently be a better Prez because he, like John Kerry, talks a good game about how “war is bad” and America is bad and Soldiers do bad things in wartime. hunh…whodathunk?

Pejman’s article and the associated links and comments speak for themselves… but I think it’s worth mentioning here that the Democrats defended Bubba’s lack of Military service as an advantage - a “no preconceived notions” kinda guy. Of course, he came into office and all but destroyed the Military AND the Intelligence communities, but hey - the Democrats don’t place Defense and Security very high on their list of things to spend money on anyway. Obama’s lack of service to his country will result in driving the Defense and Security machines into the ground as well. No surprise here.

What’s pathetic about the whole McCain service record flap is that the Democrats even needed to go here in the first place. I feel sorry for them in a way, contorting themselves as they do to make themselves look good by denigrating others. McCain’s time in prison now being equated to a reduced ability to be Commander in Chief is really offensive…but I suppose the kids on Barry’s team are screaming “you started it” when we asked where the flag lapel pin was or why the Messiah in Chief doesn’t place his hand on his heart during the Star Spangled Banner.

Can we call it even and talk, instead, about which candidate is better qualified to NOT RUN THIS COUNTRY INTO THE FREAKING GROUND now?

Please?

yes, he is Janet…and pathetic to boot…it’s sad really that they can’t argue on the merits of Obama, rather, they need to DE-merit McC - of course, this is because there’s no “there” there
