KuaiKuai Meets Her Family
On Friday April 11, KuaiKuai’s Swedish family, John and Jenny came to HCHI to see her. They are scheduled to take her with them the next day.
The couple spent the whole morning at the home getting to know her a little bit and letting her get to know them as well. It was quite emotional for all who saw it. Kuai Kuai knew these were her parents but she is still too little to trust any “strangers”. She kept going back to her AYI or Dir Wang. Her parents played games with all the children over and over, to get close to her. They bought a special hair band that may help her to hear.
I am so happy for little Kuai Kuai. It feels like only yesterday when I first saw her outside the surgery room, sitting alone on an ICU bed in Teda Hospital. It was during an October holiday last year, three days after her heart surgery. She was thin, weak, hurt and very quiet.
In the past 6 months, she has gained a lot of weight and is no longer a weak child. CHI was planning to help get her a hearing aid, but then, John contacted me and said they were coming to adopt her very soon.
KuaiKuai finally has her own family now. As John and Jenny are still in their country finishing up their adoption paperwork, I want to wish them a great journey of love and a smooth adoption in China.

Melody,
Thank you very much. Kuaikuai is now also legally our daughter. She is an incredibly lovely child and very much attached to us (as we are to her).
Warm regards,
Jenny and Johan
