Back in January Google announced that they were going to give $10 million out to the developers that create the most interesting applicatiosn for Google’s Android, the deadline was April 14 and the results were tallied up: 1788 applications were submitted!

Of those 50 finalists will get $25,000 to contine development when handsets become available and of those 10 will get $100,000 and 10 will get $275,000. The math didn’t seem right, so I plugged them into Google and it turns out the rewards are only $5 million. What gives?
