The area of thunderstorms and heavy rain that had been tracking along I-70 continues to move east and weaken as it moves through the north side of the metro area. Brief heavy downpours are possible, but light to moderate rain will be the rule for most of us. The good news is that this round is staying north of areas that saw the deluge earlier this afternoon.

Yet another area of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall is developing south of Emporia. This area of heavy rainfall will stay south of the metro area, and dump copious amounts of rainfall along and generally south of a Paola, Harrisonville, Warrensburg line.
