The Ability to Pinpoint a Loved One or Pet 24/7 Dramatically Increases Peace of Mind
Consumer Focus I

ANAHEIM, Calif.-- In today’s mobile society of single parents and dual-income spouses, heads of families are often absent from home and unable to stay connected with their children, elderly parents and other loved ones and unable to verify that they are where they are supposed to be.

Location Based Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:LBAS) provides families with peace of mind by allowing them to verify — almost instantaneously — the location of family members, loved ones and pets at anytime from almost anywhere using PocketFinder® location devices.

“Most location-based services today are based on re-packaging existing products,” explained David Morse, co-president and CEO of Location Based Technologies, Inc. “We began with the customer and worked backwards. We designed our products, interface and infrastructure from scratch to meet the needs of a mass market by providing products they will actually use and applications they truly desire.”

The PocketFinder® location device is a small GPS unit — about the size of an Oreo™ cookie — that can be attached to a lanyard, key ring or belt loop or easily dropped into a pocket, purse or backpack. Once activated, the device allows parents and guardians to find the location of a child, elderly relative or loved one at any time, day or night.

The PetFinder™ location device, which attaches to an animal’s collar, offers a safe alternative to microchipping a pet.

Both devices are lightweight, discreet, waterproof and shockproof; they are designed to withstand almost any kind of abuse. The devices’ rechargeable batteries last approximately seven days. Monthly subscribers can log onto the PocketFinder Network (www.pocketfinder.com) from a PC, cell phone or any other Internet device. The PocketFinder Network employs the U.S. Department of Defense’s Global Positioning System (GPS) and existing wireless technology to locate the devices. Whether the loved one or pet is inside a building, outdoors or in a moving vehicle, subscribers can find their location and even see how fast they are traveling. PocketFinders are the only personal locators that can measure impact and offer a “high impact” alert. Subscribers with more than one PocketFinder can view multiple devices on a single account.

Included in the monthly subscriber fee is the ability to define home, safety and prohibited zones and even set speed alerts. If the device leaves a defined zone or exceeds the safety speed, it immediately alerts the subscriber via email, phone or text message.
