With The 3rd Pick In The 2008 MHR Community Mock Draft...

The Atlanta Falcons select...

GLEN DORSEY, DT - LSU

G.M. - ZappaRulez -- Although the Falcons continue to suffer from the loss of Mike Vick, there will be no first round quarterback taken this year by the Atlanta Falcons.   The Falcons have also seen several voids open up on defense over the past two seasons and the best way to add an immediate impact on this team is to select DT Glenn Dorsey.

Draft So Far --

#1 - Miami Dolphins - DE Chris Long, Virginia
#2 - St. Louis Rams - OT Jake Long, Michigan

The Oakland Raiders, represented by bcfunderburke are up next.

Good pick
Good move not jumping on Ryan.

Injury concerns about Dorsey were way overblown.

Completely agree on both points
In my dream world, either Dorsey or Ellis slip far enough that Denver can trade up to nab one of them without giving up their second round pick.  Depending on how things go, I can see wither Baltimore (7) or New England (8) trading down.

Natural Fit.
Dorsey is a talented player and the right kind of kid for a franchise in trouble.  Matt Ryan would be a decent pick, but I think they're better off staying away until they have more stability.  Good call.

Al Davis Wants to Hear From You
Who wants the coveted 4th pick and the rights to draft McFadden? Come and get it! Crazy Al might not make it till tomorrow.

Is Crazy Al willing to pay me
$178 million for his #4 pick?   I might throw in my 7th rounder in 2030, but anything more and I walk.  Don't let me walk Crazy Al!

Acrossed the Bay
The Niners are willing to give up pick #29 (1st Round '08), #70 (3rd Round '08) and '09 1st Round selection for the #4 pick overall.  I'm not sure if trading future draft picks is allowed by I've got my eye on a particular player and I could see this move being quasi-realistic as far as mock draft trades go.  I have my suspicions that the Raiders aren't going to want to pay a rookie #4 money overall after their recent spending spree on Kelly, Hall, and Walker plus they could use the extra draft picks.

Countering the Niners
San Fran, if OAK isn't wanting to deal w/ you, and said player is still available at #5 Kansas City would love to hear from you. You should know though, we already have received one offer for this pick. For details, post on here or email jonnyr_44@hotmail.com
And the home of the...CHIEFS!!!

All joking aside...
Crazy Al has his eyes set on one player and one player alone with pick #4. If the offer is legit, he might move. If not, then the Denver D will be chasing another baby-making RB next year.

Niners trade offer sound fair, however, I'm not certain we should be trading next year's picks.

If you're serious about a trade, float them soon..
because Crazy Al is ready to make a deal or his pick. I've thought this one out and am pretty confident that this is what the Faders will do next month.

Would Crazee Al take a Jay Cutler rookie card for
the #4 pick?  I haven't got a Jay Cutler card yet, but if I do I want to use to get a mean ole DT for the Broncos!  If Crazee Al wants to play rough, I could throw in two the Selvin Young rookie cards that I already have:)

Unfortunately...
Crazy Al is in his coffin for the night getting his Montgomery Burns life-extending treatments. Expect him to make a splash first thing tomorrow morning.

Drafting for the Faders should come with a warning label. I feel like I'm losing a grip on reality...
