Although last week brought a boatload of new albums from artists many people already know, this week can't say the same, but it can surely boast a ton of promise.
A year after their release of Boxer, The National has teamed up with Vincent Moon to bring a film along with the group's new The Virginia EP to life on screen and through the speakers. Also following along the cinematic is the Castanets new Tendrils DVD.
Catching our eyes this week outside of on-screen showcases, L.A.'s Carolina Liar and E for Explosion dropped their debut full-length albums. The high-alt sound of Carolina Liar should definitely pull many fans with their new album, Coming To Terms, while Reinventing the Heartbeat marks a great step ahead for Jamison Covington (formerly of JamisonParker) and the rest of E for Explosion.
