Lenny Kravitz denies affair with baseball star's missus, Madonna and Guy's hot date

First it was Madonna rumoured to be having an affair with top American baseball star Alex Rodriguez, now legendary rocker Lenny Kravitz has been accused of muscling in on the Rodriguez action.

Let me explain.

Earlier this week I reported the news that Madonna was rumoured to be romantically linked to New York Yankees player Rodriguez (Aka A-Rod) - a claim that Madge has since vehemently denied.

The latest gossip is that A-Rod's wife, Cynthia, has left the sports star after five years of marriage and is shacked up with Kravitz in Paris.

Both the New York Daily News and New York Post reported news of the split yesterday, as well as Alex's alleged dalliance with Kravitz.

A source close to Alex told the New York Daily News: "It's true. They've been having problems for about three months."

Back to Kravitz...

The notoriously media-shy star has now bitten back at rumours he's romancing the baseballer's wife, insisting he's merely supporting her as a friend.

Kravitz released this statement to the media yesterday: "There is absolutely no affair between Cynthia Rodriguez and myself. This is unequivocally 100 per cent not true. Cynthia is a friend and is here with the godfather of her baby, who is also Alex's trainer, his wife and their baby girl," Kravitz said.

"She came here to escape from everything happening in New York City. I opened my home to her as a friend and I find it extremely hurtful that I am now being referred to as an adulterer."

Fair enough. Remember that Kravitz proclaimed earlier this year that he's been celibate for the past three years.

He told Maxim magazine: "(It's) just a promise I made until I get married. Where I'm at in life, the women have got to come with something else, not just the body, but the mind and spirit. It usually trips them out, but that's the way it's going to be. I'm looking at the big picture."

Meanwhile, Madge 'n' Guy are in damage limitation mode.

The pair was spotted putting on a front of solidarity this week as they dined at a New York restaurant.

They marched into NYC's swanky Italian eatery 'Cesca holding hands, hours after Madonna had instructed her mouthpiece to issue a divorce denial to the press.

People.com reports that the couple looked "like a normal couple that just wanted to have a nice dinner out", according to a fellow-diner.

"They looked very unassuming. Not like they were looking for attention.

"Everyone was whispering and saying, 'Wow, that was Madonna. She is supposed to be separating from her husband. I can't believe she is here'," the source adds.

However, Britain's Daily Mail has a slightly different take on things.

The newspaper interprets the pair's body language in the 'solidarity snaps' as an indication that things are far from rosy in camp Madonna.

Granted, most body language experts would speculate that Ritchie's firm hold on Madonna's upper arm is somewhat controlling, and the fact that neither of them is wearing a wedding ring? Well...

It's no wonder tongues are wagging.

Update:

A-Rod's missus, Cynthia, is apparently not convinced that her estranged hubby is just friends with Madonna.

Usmagazine.com quotes a source as saying: "She doesn't believe they are just friends."

"Something deeply suspicious is happening," the source adds.

"Cynthia did leave because she is sure this is all true."

Then there are the allegations that A-Rod has been making repeated late-night visits to Madonna's New York apartment.

This tidbit is obviously BS of the highest order, but I had to share it with you.

Posh is apparently so disgusted with Beckham's outbreak of cod breath, she's declared kissing a big no-no.

The footballer's fishy breath is said to be a result of the two Go3 fish oil pills he takes every morning to boost his energy.

A source tells Star magazine (exactly): "Becks is the spokesperson for Go3 - he even appears on the box - so he has to take it despite the consequences."

Friends: The Movie?

Word has it that a big screen version of Friends could well be on the cards.

Following the success of Sex And The City: The Movie, the Friends cast members are said to be up for re-uniting in a film version.

A source tells the Daily Mail: "The box office success of Sex And The City has really got their wheels spinning about how a Friends film could be just as big, if done right.

"Timing and the script are really important, but now that Courteney and Jen both have production companies, they can potentially get very involved in those decisions."

"What's held back a Friends movie so far is that people were worried that Jennifer had simply become too famous to play Rachel again.

"But the truth is that Jennifer is finally willing to do it, and she'd love to work with that whole team of actors and producers again.

Not sure about this one. TV to big screen crossovers can be dicey. SATC pulled it off, but I'm not convinced the same can be said for Friends. We'll see...

Dirty love shame

The bird caught-up in the Verne 'Mini Me' Troyer sex tape scandal has come clean and admitted that she was the one responsible for leaking the footage.

Troyer's ex, Ranae Shrider, is alleged to have leaked the naughty footage of their kinky escapades after he cheated on her.

She tells In Touch Magazine: "He cheated on me a bunch of times. I never once cheated on him. I took our relationship seriously.

"This was the first guy I have ever lived with.... I was never really accepted by his friends because I would always keep an eye on his drinking."

Anyway, turns out that a judge has ruled that the sex romp footage posted by TMZ.com last week will be reinstated.

Troyer filed a US$20 million lawsuit against TMZ.com last week, claiming the website's owners violated his rights by publishing clips from the sordid film.

No dice, Troyer.

But the judge did wisely impose a ban on the selling or distribution of the tape by any adult film distributor.

Wise move. I mean, who really wants to see the little man answering a booty call?
