So I'm looking for a game that allows 4 players, a game I can play with not only Sun Su (who's pretty good at Halo3) but with my 4 year old girl (who's a n00b).

If anyone has some recommendations for the Wii or maybe the 360, please comment.

I already have Wii Play and Wii Sports (not really interested in mini-games).  Thanks.

Mario Party 8 comes to mind, but that's just a big fat collection of mini games, so probably not. heh.  The board game theme is neat though.

The original Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles for the Gamecube is compatible with the wii, i think?  Haven't played it though.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I have to admit some ugly prejudices of mine though - I am not a fan of guitars nor video game characters with mustaches (Mario, et al.).  (Actually I don't like comic book characters with mustaches either which is probably why the Marvel brand has always subconsciously bugged me.)

Hmm, but I guess Ooseung could play the drums or something ....

For now, I am looking at the game Endless Ocean (Wii).  It is a slower paced exploration game that Ooseung and Amy might be interested in (but only 2-player).  A game like Star Wars Lego for 4 people would be perfect.

We have Endless Ocean and have a lot of fun playing it. My 6-yr old loves to discover new creatures and find little treasures. It's only single player, though. Thru Wifi you can dive with a friend.

I know you said you don't want minigames, but Carnival games is pretty fun. Give it a rent to see if you like it. Also, you mentioned not wanting a Mario Game, but Super Mario Galaxy is pretty fun because you can control Mario, while someone on the second wiimote can grab stars and use the stars to shoot the monsters. Perfect for a younger player to join in, yet not essential to the game.

Any interest in golfing games? Super Swing Golf Season 2 is fun. They made some improvements and made it easier for the novice player, most importantly allowing newbs access to the set of clubs that give you a perfect shot every time.

Cool recommendations, thanks!

I have to ask about Endless Ocean.  I got a used copy yesterday.  The load times are horrendous though - Sun Su and I counted, and we're talking 80 seconds or more.  Is this you're experience too or did I get a bad copy?  (The disc doesn't look all that scratched though.)

Ours doesn't take that long to load. Usually just after the diver drops down below the screen, I can hit the A button and start the dive. Are you letting it just run without hitting the A button perhaps?

We the opposite, me being sexy and you not... but also in our game choices...

I prefer the mini games way more than the long drawn out ones. Molly and I play Wii Sports, Wii Play, Mario Party 8, Carnival Games and Game party all the time... I am eaching her that losing is part of life, though it may take time for her to understand that the booty shake in her face dance after my domination is something that she should just take like a good sport... that may take some time thoguh.

It must be the piece of crap disk I got from Gameflop.  I press every button during the waiting times and still get up to 80 or 90-mississippi before things start happening again.

I returned Endless Sea for Mario Party 8.  I guess I can tolerate the mini-games and cartoons with dirty filthy moustaches since the kids seem to like this one.
