The "fight your way in" twist was a nice change, but yeah, everything after that is essentially the same.  I guess fighters trashing the house is now the norm.

You all know this by now, they have to do what gets better ratings.  I think TUF4 was the lowest-rated season, because it was boring drama-wise, compared to the other seasons.  But man it was great to see veteran fighters instead of relative noobs for a change.

What do you guys think they can do to change things up while still making it fair?  The last thing they changed was the matchup format (losing team chooses the next fight)...

I remember the first time they trashed the house, it was like YOU'RE FIRED.  Now it's practically encouraged.

The seasons are getting more boring.  MMA fans really just want to see the fighting at this point.  We already know what happens when you get a bunch of rowdy fighters in a house after the first three seasons.

Things to improve:

1.  More fighting.  Three fights a show rather than just one or two.

2.  More boobies.  Seeing the ring girls for 0.4 second is just ridiculous.  Send in the strippers.  Send the guys to Hooters.  Or to the beach.  Let them fight to see which ONE guy gets a visit from his girlfriend.  For a Spike TV show, it is seriously deficient in the boobage.

3.  More behind the scenes stuff with Dana and the UFC.  It doesn't even have to be about the TUF fighters.  Maybe some documentary stuff preparing for the next PPV would be nice.  Heck I'd rather see Dana out on the town than the same old house full o' hungry fighters whining like two year olds.

4.  The team format is just a tired old smokescreen.  By the end of each season it dissolves completely.  Winning or losing for the team has almost no impact on the final outcomes.  I guess they need it for some kind of structure but ... meh.  Maybe have like four smaller teams, with four semi-famous coaches.  Then the top two team coaches fight each other at the end (and get paid enough so the coaches actually give a crap).

5.  More titties!

Yeah the team concept is useless after 8 fights... maybe they should abandon it after either the prelims or the quarterfinals.  I dunno.  4 teams could be interesting, especially now that the seasons focus on 1 weight instead of 2.  That could also solve the problem of 1 team having a huge margin of victory and forcing teammates to fight each other.  90% of the time, anyway.

I think the coaches get paid quite a bit now, plus they all get cars.  I forget what Jens and BJ got, but they were nice sports cars.

And whatever happened to the late night spike tv lineup?  Forgot what it was called... but there was the show Manswers, and whacked out sports or something with Kit Cope, and some other crap.  There was boobsies there but now those shows are gone... Sad

I'm so glad I watched HUMAN WEAPON on the History Channel. Now I sort of understand why rolling around on the ground is so cool.

With 4 coaches, only the top two would get the cars and big money.  Then they would really be invested in making their team win.

I have to respect Dana for 1) keeping steroids out of the UFC, and not just pretending to or ignoring it (like Pride used to), and 2) not turning UFC into a bimbo fest like Bodog.  I like the boobies and Arianni is ULTRA F'IN FINE, but it is a pretty classy operation compared to most other MMA programs.

The TUF show could use more boobies though.  It's already got the drama queens.

lol... i thought the "MMA 101 as illustrated by the Bodog bikini babes" was pretty funny.

I think the closest the UFC got to a bimbo fest (recently, anyway... in the way way old days any trailer park blonde could do the ring cards) was that "next octagon girl" contest they had one or two years ago.  Wonder how many of those chicks Dana had his way with... Smiley

Anyone seen The Iron Ring on BET. Wes Sims is in it.

Some of these guys have the raw talent. Episode 6, kid gets arm barred then slams the other guy submitting him on his head. One of the scariest knockouts I've seen in a while.

Watched one or two episodes... was annoyed at first but i love watching mma for free.  does the ring look tiny to you?  definitely does not look regulation.

I think shonie carter is in there too as a coach?

dang... two losses in a row for Team Rampage.  I hope he talks to his boys and tells them they have to listen to their cornermen.  We've seen that before on TUF, andy wang wanting to slug it out when he is a bjj black belt, and that one dude from the last season who just hovered over a downed fighter and gave him time to recover.

Last night I decided to watch the rest of Dan in Real Life rather than flip on TUF for an hour.
