LRP Quantum Speedos

LRP walked us through their new bits on their large stand and there are lots of new things on display. First up is a new line of Quantam speed controllers, these are aimed at the entry level market and are all supplied with reverse and come in 3 different versions, Super, Pro and Bullet. For cooling your LRP motor, they have released a range of aluminium plates for the rear and front of the motor, with the front versions available in 2 thicknesses for adjusting the centreline weight of your car.

For inside your brushless motor there is a new range of rotors, while for improving your cells there is the new Battery Conditioner 2 on show. Other things on the stand included new battery packs in both NiMh and LiPo, new 4000 VTEC long life cells, 4100UHV Stock spec cell and VTEC 4600 cells in Big Mama and Fat Cobra versions. There is also a new range of stock Vector X11 motors on show that come in different winds and are easily identified by the coloured rings on the end.

LRP SPX BL Bullet Speedo

New speed controller on show included the new SPX brushless speed controllers, which work also with brushed motors and are perfect all round controllers. The Super Reverse can handle ove 5.5 turn BL and 7.0 turn Brushed while the Bullet can work with 3.0 turn BL and 4.0 turn brushed. Also on show is the new super lightweight NEXXT sensorless speed control system which gives sensored driveabililty even without hall sensors.

LRP S8-BX buggy

LRP had a new engine for their previously released S8-BX buggy, called the ZR-21X, and had an RTR version of the S8-BX present. The new Shark Monster 18 and full option version were also there along with 2 new mini cars, a monster truck called the S18MT and a small 1/18th scale touring car called the S18T.
