So I’ve talked about the cross-pollination that seems to be taking place between clothing companies and the music industry before, but it seems that every day the line becomes ever more blurred.
At this weekend’s Lollapalooza festival, Diesel took it upon themselves to interview some of the key bands that were performing, and I thought it might be interesting to share the videos as they are all favorites of the Rock Sellout Crew. The interviews themselves took place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago (well duh) in the Diesel:U:Music / Metromix Lounge - I have no idea whether that’s a permanent fixture of the hotel or if it was just a temporary HQ they setup.
NOTE: This is not an endorsement of Diesel Jeans, a product I’ve never been able to afford personally! :)
Also, is it just me or did that second GO! Team album fail to make much of a splash? It seemed like everyone liked it but it just sort of vanished off the collective radar from what I’ve seen. Did they somehow suffer the Sophmore Slump Curse even though their second album was good and well-reviewed? Speaking of curses, people now think that since Morgan Freeman was in a car accident, there’s a ‘Dark Knight Curse’ - which is (please excuse the term) the goddamed stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.
Wait…where was I? Sorry, that last paragraph was a terrifying glimpse into the constantly-shifting and random subjects in my mind. Apologies all around.
