Rarely do we get an R&B songstress singing over a pure hip-hop beat. Or at least, one that is actually fairly decent.


I, for one, do not particularly care for Alicia Keys. She grates on my last nerve. I do, however, have the utmost respect for both LL Cool J and Swizz Beatz. SO mix the three together, and you get what was once an entirely unlistenable song in Teenage Love Affair turned into a smooth grooving hip-hop track.

The fact that Keys went so far as to re-record vocals for this remix says a lot about her. Most mainstream, I don't know what to call them, "divas", I suppose, would not be caught dead having to go back and do what she did. So at least for today Ms. Keys, a hearty nod to you.

As for the other components, LL Cool J perfectly plays the part of, um, LL Cool J. And Swizz Beatz is just boss, as always.
