The third installment of the Steve Madden Music series took place last night, on a much more pleasurably weather accommodating night.

Special guests, Shwayze, performed promptly at 8:00pm and treated the audience to a fiery 4 song set in which most everyone sang along to each piece. It was noticeably more crowded than the previous 2 performances as well. Getting there later than I normally do was probably not the best idea I've had, but s'all good.

Beginning with Polaroid (which shouts out our friend and femcee Jane Bang!) Immediately, the crowd was into it. Seeing as how Shwayze's debut album comes out tonight, it's easy to say that notoriety and recognition comes largely in part due to viral marketing, blogs, and leaks.

Don't Be Shy, Corona and Lime (which was wisely served), and Buzzin' rounded out the set. The trio of Shwayze, Cisco Adler and DJ Skeet Skeet meld their blend of west coast, chillin' relaxed vibe rap rock and it's a perfect groove for anyone not wanting hardcore intensity of either genre. It was a solid live performance that left us as being more of a fan than we already were.

Many thanks to Steve Madden and Giant Step for continually letting us make our presence known at these fine events!

Shwayze's self titled debut album come out today, August 19. Cop it here.
