...he said, “Ah, you’re back to normal!” And I didn’t know that I was ever not normal.

Can I have a break please?

First I need to address the insomnia. It was the Mucinex-D that I took. The 12-hour long Mucinex-D. I missed the warning on the back that said to “contact my doctor if you experience extreme amounts of sleeplessness”. Of all the things to take at 10 p.m. before I crawled into bed, and I choose that.

Second, the hot water heater is leaking very expensive water all over the basement floor. I don’t even want to look at our next water bill! Hopefully the new hot water heater can be installed on Monday. I have my fingers crossed, but I’m thinking it’ll be Tuesday instead.

And third, Maisy has a mast cell tumor on her side. A freaking tumor! On my dog! It started out about 5-6 weeks ago and looked like a mole. Over the last week it’s grown to the size of a quarter. She’s a Boxer and if there is anything irregular on her body we notice immediately because her fur is so short and her body is so muscular. She having surgery on Monday to have it removed. They’ll know more about what kind of tumor it is after they biopsy it. I hope it’s nothing. I really do. I’ve been through cancer before with my dog Hannah, and it wasn’t fun.

Among all of this, Zoe’s getting a Rainbow Play System installed on Monday. It’s like the universe knows that we’ve spent all of our money: Rainbow Play System tomorrow, we booked a trip to Disney for September, bought a new entertainment center in March (which is yet to be delivered because the Amish are still making it), Skyler had teeth removed a few weeks ago, the hot water heater is broken, HOT WATER IS FLOWING DOWN THE DRAIN, and Maisy has a tumor.

Could someone please give me a break?

We are dealing with similar money issues. Only our stuff happened a few months ago. Cat sick, baby sick, trip to Florida booked for October, PDA needed to be replaced, then the laptop died… And the list goes on…

Hang in there! Hope the tumor is non-cancerous…

Oh my goodness you do need a break! It is like you are in a Calgon commercial. “Calgon, take me away!” I hope things settle down for you. Poor Maisy. Keep us posted on her.
