Prison Break, the edge-of-the-seat drama sensation is returning exclusively to Sky One this September. Starring Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, Prison Break season four sees brothers Michael Scofield (Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Purcell) free from Panama and out for revenge.
Created by Paul Scheuring, Prison Break launched in 2005 and became an instant, global success, captivating audiences with its thrilling plot twists. After breaking out of Fox River prison and surviving on the run, season three took the brothers to Panama and the notoriously lawless Sona prison, where Michael was held prisoner with ex-FBI agent Mahone (William Fichtner), former Fox River guard Bellick (Wade Williams) and vicious Fox River escapee Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell (Robert Knepper).
In exchange for the release of Lincoln’s son LJ and Michael’s love Dr Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) who were being held hostage by the mysterious Gretchen (Jodi Lynn O’Keefe) and the Company, Michael had to break out an inmate called Whistler (Chris Vance). Loath to help the company and officially now a free man, Lincoln set about trying to find Sara and LJ himself, with disastrous consequences for Sara, who was seemingly murdered in brutal fashion. With the help of Lincoln and fellow Fox River escapee Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), Michael finally managed to escape with Whistler and Mahone (William Fichtner), leaving T-Bag, Bellick and the unfortunate Sucre languishing behind bars.
Season 4 sees Michael determined to get revenge on Gretchen and the company, and ready to do whatever it takes to get it… But Michael’s eye-for-an-eye crusade is thrown into crisis when he confronts Gretchen and discovers a shocking new twist in the events surrounding Sara’s death.
As loyalties shift and new information comes to lights, Michael is forced to cut a deal with the Government - his freedom in return for helping them in their own plans to bring down the Company. Holed up in a secure warehouse, Michael begins plotting to break in to a maximum security facility and infiltrate the Company, and looks to recruit some familiar faces to help.
New cast members confirmed for Season 4 include Michael Rapaport (My Name is Earl, The War at Home) as a Government Agent and Cress Williams (ER, Grey’s Anatomy) as a new Company man.
