We awoke to another beautiful day docking at 8:00 am. The guys went off to play golf and Missy and I are spending our day shopping and lounging by the pool.

Offically named St. Christopher, this volcanic island offers some of the most dramatic views in the Caribbean.

St. Kitts was the first British settlement (1623) in the West Indies and then fought over for the next 150 years by France, Spain and finally became a British Colony until it gained its independence in 1983.

Mount Liamuiga (3,792 foot dormant volcano) occupies the central section of the island; it was originally named Mount Misery by the British.

The Circus, patterned after London's Piccadilly Circus is the main square in the capital city of Basseterre. Its centerpiece is St. Kitt's Big Ben, a four-faced, ornate Victorian clock tower made of green stone with coats-of-arms, columns and a fountain at the base. St. George's Cathedral is the oldest Anglican Church, built by the French in 1670 and orginally named Notre Dame.

Obviously, tournism is the primary industry, but sugar plantations with lush cane fields provide picturesque vistas.
