Syracuse, New York (WSYR-TV) – We’re only a few days away from the release of Nintendo’s Wii Fit. The game is already receiving rave reviews from fans, who are excited about its combination of exercise and adventure.
The game comes with a balance board that tracks your motion. It helps set the rate of speed you’re supposed to go with. It also keeps a log of how long you worked out and your progress. Most of the games are based around exercise, yoga and sports.
”With a lot of the weight problems we have now a days it's really a great alternative to just sitting down and playing a game!” said Chris Case, who’s looking to purchase the game.
Wii Fit is so popular most stores in Syracuse have already sold out of them. And they’re not even on the shelves yet.
The Best Buy at Carousel Center pre-ordered 50 copies. They’re already taken. Wii fans say it’s exciting to see a game that allows you to be interactive and healthy at the same time.
”You get to move back and forth, step forward and backward. It’s just all about balance,” Case said.
Wii Fit is moving in a direction most interactive companies are heading toward – Combining fun games with relaxing workouts.
It hits store shelves Monday.
