See that? It's Digg, and a selection of stories receiving a lot of votes from the Digg user community's 2008 US Elections page. Here's the current 'headlines' from Digg on CBSNews.com:

CBS said in a statement this will include ""From the Road" coverage by a CBS News team of reporters traveling with the candidates and the exclusive "Primary Questions" video series where candidates are asked character- and leadership-revealing questions."

Candidate profiles on CBS News, like the one for Barack Obama, contain Digg widgets as well, with stories related to the candidate on display.

We give CBSNews.com plenty of credit for their arrangement with Digg. They have probably assured themselves of plenty of web traffic through the year as the campaigns gain momentum.

That should equate to lots of ad views as Digg visitors hit the CBS News site. Unless of course, those Digg users skew heavily toward the Firefox using, ad blocking segment of Internet browsers.
