Discipline Your Browsing with 8aweek

One problem with being a web worker is that there are all too many distracting places to play on the web. If you find yourself unable to resist the siren call of timewasting sites - and you’re a Firefox user - 8aweek has an answer for you. Their toolbar not only tracks your usage so you know exactly which sites are soaking up your time, it can also beat you up when you try to spend too much time there.
8aweek has two modes. In its normal mode, it shows you a countdown timer warning you when you’re getting close to your daily quota of non-work browsing (based on sites you tell it to monitor). If you want more tough love, switch it to block mode, where it actually refuses to let you visit those sites. For users who need a reminder to get back to work, or anyone who just wants to track their browsing stats, this can come in handy.

Fantastic link. I have already started using it. I’ve only spent 42 seconds on Web Worker Daily since installation; it’s helping already!
