Money has wings, it can fly all over the world. If you speak out money on your blog, world listens. Hard to admit but fact. Creating a contest in different ways creates visitors and readers. Contests like “Readers or Email Subscription”, again challenging another blogger by offering prizes in return for support, blog about this contest thing and other contest that is feasible.

Good strategies. But I think the challenging another blog will be negative marketing.

2. you might get a link from those challenge.
as stated above, it can go also into money thing, competition.
