In her Web column yesterday, Katharine Q. Seelye writes: “While the mainstream media has been obsessed with the presidential horse race, the Internet has been obsessed with recent comments by Senator Barack Obama about Ronald Reagan and the Republicans.”
Those comments rocketed around the blogosphere where they were quickly dissected — and often distorted — by liberals, conservatives, centrists and by Mr. Obama’s rivals and their supporters. Finally yesterday, Mr. Obama himself sought to clarify them at a town hall meeting in Columbia, S.C.
