Rio de Janeiro (ANTARA News/DPA) - Three people were injured Monday in Brazil when a bomb exploded at a bakery in the centre of the southern city of Porto Alegre.
According to the local fire department, the bomb was hidden inside a backpack that had been left in the shop by a man thought to be about 40 years old.
Initial reports blamed the blast on a gas leak, but militarized police experts confirmed later that it was the result of an attack. The motive was not immediately known.
Of the three people injured in the blast, only one woman was hospitalized, and no details were made public about her condition.
