Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The executive board of the Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur-led Nation`s Awakening Party (PKB) has rejected the South Jakarta District Court`s verdict favoring its rival, the Muhaimin Iskandar-led PKB, in their legitimacy dispute.

Speaking at a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday evening, Wahid accused the judges at the court to have given in to "pressure from above."

Asked who he meant, Gus Dur mentioned Minister/State Secretary Hatta Rajasa and Cabinet Secretary Sudi Silalahi.

"I received information that one of the judges received a phone call in which they were threatened with transfers or suspension," he said.

Gus Dur prevented from persidential election 2009!

In a written statement read out by the chairman of the pro-Gus Dur PKB, Ali Masykur Musa, Gus Dur said there were political moves to prevent him from taking part in the presidential election in 2009.

Zannuba Arifah Chafsoh or Yenny Wahid, the party`s secretary general, said the Gus Dur camp would soon take the necessary steps to appeal the South Jakarta District Court`s ruling.

"So this is not yet over. The court`s decision is not yet legally binding," she said.

Meanwhile, Ali Masykur said the Gus Dur-led party was confident it would win the case in the appellate court. "The other day when we faced Choirul Anam in court, we also won at appellate court level," he said.
