Mataram: The Head of the Indonesian Islamic Students’ Association, Ryass Rasyid, asked Ahmadiyah to return to the correct Islamic teaching. “Or call themselves non-Moslems,” said Ryass Rasyid today.
He said the joint-decree issued by three ministers banning Ahmadiyah is a state position in viewing Ahmadiyah as a deviant ideology. “Although the state did not dissolve Ahmadiyah, the state has stopped their activity,” he said.
Vice President Jusuf Kalla suggested that Ahmadiyah be reminded through a non-violence approach. “Do not approach them with stones or fire, but in a peaceful way,” said Kalla.
Kalla said the joint-decree is an effort to remind Ahmadiyah to return to the right way.
