ENGEL — the Gothenburg, Sweden-based quintet featuring guitarists Marcus Sunesson (ex-THE CROWN) and Niclas Engelin (PASSENGER, ex-GARDENIAN, IN FLAMES), drummer Mojjo (RELEVANT FEW, DRACENA), vocalist Mangan Klavborn, and bassist Michael Håkansson (ex-EVERGREY) — will support SYSTEM OF A DOWN frontman Serj Tankian on June 11 at Train in Aarhus, Denmark.

Upcoming ENGEL shows:

May 25 - Gothenburg, SWE @ Superrock (Trädgår) (w/ DREAM EVIL, THUNDER EXPRESS)
May 29 - Stockholm, SWE @ Gröna Lund (w/ IN FLAMES)
Jun. 11 - Århus, DEN @ Train (w/ SERJ TANKIAN)

"Absolute Design", the debut album from ENGEL will receive its long-awaited U.S. release on May 20 via SPV/Steamhammer.

IN FLAMES frontman Anders Fridén helped his old friend Niclas (both played together in PASSENGER) record demos and assisted in the production of the CD at Dug-Out Studios in Uppsala with Daniel Bergstrand (producer of IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH).

ENGEL's video for the song "Casket Closing", which was recently filmed in Belgrade, Serbia with Rock The Nation, can be viewed below.
