That Starland Ballroom date has been on Starland's official website for at least two weeks now.

Not half as hard as you just did. One of the best bands around.

I've got three of their albums and I just cannot get into them. The Odyssey is by far the best one, but it just doesn't do it for me. I can't see what the fuss is about with this band, maybe it's just me.

The "fuss" is probably caused by their exceptional musicianship and song writing skills. But like anything, it's not for everybody. At least you gave them a chance.

...The Odyssey. I loved all of their previous albums. Very heavy prog/power metal. And then The Odyssey came out and it was slower and had a slight Pantera influence. I thought maybe their next album would be amazing like the others only to find that it was worse. Yes, the last two album definitely have their moments but the earlier albums were way better, IMO.

For those wanting to debate SX's singer vs. DT's singer, why not get the Ayreon live video and see both back to back?

I wish I would have seen them live when they last toured the States. I decided not to go because I read here on Blabbermouth.net that they are not very good live and that Russell Allen cannot sing well live. I say bullshit to that! They sounded amazing in that clip, especially Allen!

If you want to rag on a band for not being able to pull it off live just look to ProtoolsFarce...uhh...I mean DragonForce.

Now excuse me while I have a few beers and listen to Morgana Lefay...

I think you're referring to Star One rather than Ayreon, and that's the Threshold vocalist.

Should of said 'The Dream Theater vocalist is not on that, but the singer for Threshold is'.
