Alright guys, seems like i haven't been keeping my promises lately. Am sooo sorry again! Well, i'm back with more for "now". Haha. My holidays will now be officially ending in a few minutes time. Life is good currently. Just got my car to bring me around few days ago, gotta thank my parents for this really! Was kinda shocked actually. No worries mommy and daddy, i'll be studying real hard this time. Hopefully i'll be able to pass my 1st year with flying colours! Haha. Sounds impossible, but i'll try. ;)

Anywaysss, back to my long time abandoned post on Japaann. Darn it, i'm missing Japan. Haha. Alright, sooo we were on the way to Mount Fuji. Next stop on the way there, we dropped by at Lake Kawaguchiko. One of the famous 5 lakes which surrounds the world famous Mount Fuji. Nice view but lunch do not really came up to our expectation. Or probably we're just not used to the japanese food.

Everyone was hoping it to snow on that day, but the tour guide insisted that snowing is a bad sign for tour groups as most of the expressways will be closed due to slipery roads and thus affecting the whole agenda. Stilll, as a jakun from Malaysia who has not seen snowing since birth, it's his dream to at least see it once in his life. It's me the jakun by the way. An guess whatt? Right after the lunch when we stepped out the restaurant, the sky started to turn cloudy andddd, foam-like pieces of whitish stuffs started to fell down from the sky! Darn it, i know i am lucky cos it's snowing! I shall now proudly say that this is one of the moment i wouldn't forget for the rest of my life. The experience of looking upon the snow dropping down onto your shoulder is seriously priceless.

Proceed our next destination after lunch, to the Fujiten Ski Resort. It took us up to 2 hours to reach that place compared with the normal 45 minutes. As i've said previously, the consequences of snowing. Hahaaa. It's worth it though.

Did not really tried out skiing on that day cos it was really crowded and the snow was really heavy. Pluss i do not even know how to stand on my own feet after falling down. Sad case man. Anyways, it was a good experience even to see people skiing around you. Hahaa.

Managed to captured a few shots of the Japanese kids when i was wandering around the area. Kinda like their cute expression. Do i sound lifeless, to take pictures instead of skiing in the snow resort? Hahaaa.

YOKOSO JAPAN - PT 2

Reason is partly due my hostel's slow internet speed and upon receiving many complaints from readers saying that the pictures takes too long to get uploaded. Hopefully this will help a bit. =)

NRT Terminal 2 arrival hall. Look at the crowds!

Moving on from the precious Japan post, our flight departed at 11am sharp Malaysian time. FYI whole journey from KUL to Narita, Japan takes around 7 hours. Our plane landed safely at the Narita International Airport Terminal 2 at 5.30pm Japanese time (1 hour ahead of Malaysian time). Well, the flight wasn't really that enjoyable. Imagine sitting on de same place for a freaking 7 hours while watching lame movies like SumoLah! Sigh. Anyways, the feeling when u first seen the city of Japan from the plane before u land on their airport was fantastic. I mean like, it's so much more organized and lively compared to cities in Malaysia at night. Haha.

On our way to the bus. Temperature was 6 degree celcius.

Can't comment much on that since Japan is already a developed country while Malaysia is still "developing". Haha. Alright, back to the airport was seriously crowded. It seems that for every single minute, there will be either a flight departure or arrival. Narita has been rated as one of the busiest airport in the world. Probably this is the reason why we've gotta queue up sooo long just to go through the immigration.

After passing through all the photoshoots and fingers reading (Japan is super strict in terms of immigration), we met up with our tour guide of the trip and proceed to Excel Tokyu Hotel for check in. Simple hotel for us to spend our first night on the land of the rising sun. Weather was pretty cold at only 5 degree celsius.

Woke up at 6 in the morning next day, had breakfast and there we go. Started our journey to our first ever destination in Japan, the Hakone-Izu National Park, where the famous Mt Fuji lies. Journey from Narita to Hakone takes another 2 hours and along the highway, i pretty managed to capture down few sights that never failed to make me go "woahhh!".

TRAPPED IN AIMST.

I'm backkkk, well at least for a while. =) Darn, i can't even believe the fact that i've abandoned my blog for the past 3 weeeks! Never in my history i haven't got any time to update for this long. Am soooo sorryy guys! Really. Well, i'll be temporary holding on to the Japan post and talk abit about my life over here. At least to update some of my friends back at home or those who're studying abroad.

Lifeeee, is realllly hectic now. Have been busy with lectures, studies and some events over here. FYI i've just completed my task for being the emcees for the AIMST CNY Cultural Night not too long ago, and currently am busy-ing completing stuffs for the upcoming AIMST Vice Chancellor's Public Speaking Challenge Trophy organized by my entire batch, Batch 13. As for my studiess, one word says it all. KILLING. I'm serious about it, Biochemistry especially. The lecturers are good, it's just that there are too much to cover in such short period of time. Personally, i think metabolism is the killer for now. Well, i kind of admire Dr Ong for being able to finished his phD in Biochemistry! Tsk tsk tsk, i can't even manage one small part of it for now. Sigh.

BUSYYYYYYY | YOKOSO JAPAN! - PT 1

Andd finnnaaaalllly, Shaun is back to the blogosphere after being lost to nowhere for 2 weeks! Man, it's not that i don't want to, was really really busy after i got back from Japan a week ago and am currently back at uni. Life has been kind of hectic since then, busy with my daily routine of studying and memorizing facts. Trust me, it kills. However, the course is pretty interesting till now, at least i haven't been falling asleep in class! That should be something amazing, right? Haha. (P/S: Take medic la, take medic! :P)

Okayyy, back to my Japan trip, it was truly a great one. Having to experience snowing for the first time in my life, walking in the streets full of Japanese chiqas, load myself with unlimited supply of King Crabs and Sashimis etc. I must say that Japan is a place that totally rocked my off. Osaka or Hokkaido will be my next destination if i have the ability to fund the trip myself! As usual, can't describe much with words, will let all the pictures do the talking. Nope, we're not going to Japan YET, not today. We're on the way! Hehe. Enjoy. =))

KLIA! My first stop to Japann. I can tell you that the feeling before boarding a flight to The Land of Rising Sun is like you're about to get an orgasm real soon. Darn it, haha. Japan really did not dissapoint me.

No money to book myself a Business Class, hence the usual Economy Class. T.T Wonder when do i get the chance of flying on a First/Business Class.

Check in counter. Met up with our tour leader, checked in, proceed to the immigration check ine counter, board the aerotrain to get our arses to the other site of the airport for International boarding and there we go, a step nearer to Tokyo!

Passport Malaysia, i wonder why red? Any significance? O.o

After going through all de custom check and everything, at lastt, i got my first glance of the plane that will be flying me across the ocean to Japan! I always thought that Malaysian Airlines a good choice for any form of flights. They've got a 5-Star cabin staffs rating guyss! Support the local!

Yo guys! Sorry for the late update again, just got back from Genting on Sunday. Had a great stay there at First World, i'd say that i seriously like their weather over there. Well, at least it is much better than our overpopulated and polluted city of Kuala Lumpur. Anyways, didn't take much picture this time as i was truly enjoying the whole trip. And guess what? I'm only 3 days away from my Tokyo, Japan trip! And it's snowing over there! I'm sooooo looking forward to it! 6 days 5 nights, this is the itinerary given by the tour agency. Anyone who has gone there before, please do leave a comment or two on things/stuffs that i should pay attention to/ bring over during my trip. Thanks alot in advance!

Erm, supposed to post this up like for ages ago but due to my busi-ness, i guess i've only managed to post it up today. Sorry guys! Well, this is my first ever outing with the New Community members that i've joined not too long ago. Esther was the organizer for the event and i figured out since Christien's joining us for his latest release, Jarum Halus, why not right? (How often do you go for movie with a celebrity eh?) Haha.

And guess what, this was my first time watching a movie with it's main cast seated like few feets away from me! Another new experience. Heh. Okay back to the film, overall i would say that i have totally no regrets on going for this movie, it has so freaking darn lotsa meanings in it and i couldn't really figure all of them out untill Christien slowly explain it to us at the end of the screening. Thanks man, Christien. Anyway, i think the movie's no longer showing at the cinema anymore, do wait for the release of the DVD soon. Support the local production mates! Moreover this isn't like Cicakman, one of the lousiest production i've ever seen. (Do you believe me that i actually watched it at the cinema!? Well, i left after the movie started showing for like 30 mins. Sigh.)

Argh, i'm still not out of my busy week yet. Just had my very first photography assignment done today at the Kelana Lake Garden for my ex-company. Nope, i'm not earning alot but its just for the sake of interest. I'm still learning anyways. Haha. It's been quite a long and tiring day for me and my fellow so called "models". Well, luckily it all went good. Smooth shooting and great people i've met i'd say. Will be going for a second one soon this Friday again at KL area. Just reached home from Laundry, The Curve. Had dinner with my fellow buddies whom some i've lost in touch since i graduated from high school. Haha. Anyway, it's supposed to be a surprised party for Kevin to celebrate on his 19th birthday.

And yeahhhh, guess what we've spotted at Cineleisure as well? The skeleton of our latest model of national car, the Proton BLM! Well, whether you trust Proton or not, i personally feel that this is quite a good car in it's range. I am serious. To me, Persona was a nono but BLM certainly do look good and it is much much more affordable compared to the previous models.

Claimed to be spacious and practical, i guess it's a good buy especially for students at only 30k++. With the 30k kind of pricing, what more can you expect?

The snapshots of front and back part of the car i managed to take. Not too bad ey? The ass looks abit like the newly launched C Class, guess Proton just have to catch up with the latest trend.

Anyway, this much anticipated national car will be officially launched on the 18th of January which is today at the Dataran Merdeka! So lets cross our fingers and see how our national carmaker can make a comeback with their new Proton BLM!

Here comes the post on AMBP Bloggers Gathering at Stabucks The Gardens last Saturday. Well, my whole day started off with breakfast at A&W Taman Jaya with Shaz. Was supposed to meet him up a day before at Curve but i was unable to make it, sorry dude. Anyway, it was good meeting up with a blogger cum friend whom i've known for quite a long time on the blogosphere. And of course, thanks for the breakfast. Heh. =]

So after the breakfast, we went straight to Mid Valley to meet up with other bloggers. Then, there we go, into The Gardens!

AMBP was giving out free coffee/tea vouchers for the first 50 bloggers to reach there.

And yeah, i was one of the first 50. =] Theres also a few gifts to be given away for the lucky draw session. Surprisingly, i was the third name to be called out for the draw. Wasn't even aware of it till they called out for the second time. Haha.

Yeah, so guess what i've won for the draw? A cap, few movie merchandises and 2 tickets to the premiere screening for Rambo 4. Nothing much but still, at least theres still something right? Haha.

So after the draw ended, the camwhoring session begins. Everyone started walking around introducing themselves, making friends and camwhore "kaw kaw". When i mean "kaw kaw", it means that it is seriously "KAW"! Haha.

Back from my first New Community gathering at MV and yeah, it was awesome. Christien New's latest movie Jarum Halus was seriously not bad, will talk bout this on one post later on. And gosh, Christien had a guest joining us for the movie too! Guess who is he? Bet many of you guys would have already guessed it right. Me too was kind of shocked when he appeared halfway during the screening. And yeahh, he's currently at KL! heh. So, you guys can start hunting him down now! The red Macaw, everyone was saying that the macaws were the best shot they have taken throughout the whole zoo trip thingy. So, what do you think?

As promised, i'm back with more pictures this time, so here we go - into the zoo!

Everyone checking their maps and fixing their gears for the one last time before checking into the zoo.

The last time i've been into the zoo was when i was in primary six, still remembered that i was following the school trip. 6 years later i was there again, and i'm sad to say that, the zoo still looks almost the same. No improvements and it's still as poorly maintained as it was. Sigh, but who cares. We're here to shoot the animals, not the zoo's architecture or whatsover. So as long as their wildlife's still alive and kicking, it's a good zoo to us. No? Haha.

So, the first stop of the day was of course, the giraffes. It's situated right beside the bridge near to the entrance. Each of us took around 10 minutes to shoot the giraffes, can't get a good shot though cause it was my first few shots for the day, not really used to it yet.

Well, i think this is the best shot on the giraffes that i managed to snap for the day.

If you are saying that it's the elephant show, then yeah you are right. The elephants were placed in the enclosure right beside the giraffes. We were lucky because the show started once we finished snapping the giraffes.

LYN PHOTO OUTING : PART 1

Alright! Due to the overwhelming support/demand, i'm here to post on the pictures and stories from my photo outing with fellow LYN members yesterday morning at the National Zoo. Well, my whole day started off with me waking up at 7am in the morning pleading my dad to drop me off at the LRT station near my place on his way to work. All of us were supposed to meet up at the Wangsa Maju LRT station at around 9am. I reached the station at 8.30am and managed to meet up with the few guys who were already there much earlier than me, i was told by them that they were kind of excited because this was in fact the first photogs gathering organized for LYN photography ethusiasts. No doubt, it was my first too.

After meeting up with the few guys, we walked over to the mamak right beside the station for a light breakfast and also to meet up and wait for the rest of them to show up themselves. It was practically the first time i met each and everyone of them on that day, all this while we only had our talk through the forum.But nah, they were so great to talk to and in fact we actually forgot that this was our first time meeting each other. Got to know W.Jie and Jer Leong who's both 16 but has already had their own dSLR. And also this guy, Albert who's quite a popular photographer for the Sony Alpha community. His picture was even showcasted for few events if i've not mistaken. He was showing us his Sony A700 super lenses and this amazing little DIY Olympus infrared dSLR, in fact he korek out the whole lens to fix on this little telephoto lenses. FYI the picture above was taken with his fisheye lens, everyone was like "wooooooaaaaaah!" when he took out the lens. Haha.

So, after doing the headcounts, we made our first step into the zoo. There were 4 cars around and each of us carpooled each other to reach the destination.

Reached the zoo at around 10am and everyone was like getting busy with camera talks and some even fixed their lens to their camera already. Thank god that it was a great sunny day that morning, if not this event would have been called off.

The entrance for the ticket was 15 bucks and because it was a big group of us entering that day, so we got this little RM1 discount each by the zoo officials. Well, 1 buck is still money wert right?

Check this out, the cam of the day. A Canon EOS 40D attached with the Canon 70-200mm f2.8L. Notice that this is the L lens every photographer would have wanted one, it costed that guy (Viking) near to 4k for one. Tsk tsk tsk.

Camera talk and "poisoning" session. XD And it's Albert again checking out his beercan lens on Sony A700. Tried out the cam abit and man, i was like dammit, if i got the money i'll invest in one straightaway. This is wad we called "poisoning" among the photogs. When you get the feel of it, you will feel so tempted to get one right away. I got poisoned really badly that day. Sigh.

Shoot shoot shoot! Vincent was the organizer of the whole gathering, so after getting the tickets, we went into the zoo, where the whole journey of fun and excitement beginssss.

Well, it's only the beginning of my whole trip but it would be the end for this post for now. Once again, happy new year to everyone out there! Sorry if i didn't reply to some of your new year messages this morning, it was the line congestion that is causing all the sms-ing errors. Anyway, yeah this is how i spent my new year's eve, we had a poker night over at ting's place. It was fun and at the same time great to have all the my old school/classmates gathered around on the same table talking about the good old days again. Credits to Dominic who organised this whole poker night thingy. Hah. I'm kind of lazy to type now so i'll just let the pictures do all the talking. It's in a monochrome series anyway, enjoy.

We had 3 rounds of poker, Texas Hold Em' style. The whole thing ended at around 1.30am and we drove all the way to Aman Suria's Kayu for a little yamcha session. Daryl who's back from UK joined us latter.

It was indeed another great get-together. A night where everyone chilled out together and chat about our respective lifes. It's been 2 years long since we last graduated from high schools. Well, it's great to have this kind of gathering once in a blue moon to make sure we each have an update on each other among the circle of friends. We ciow at around 3am when everyone started feeling sleepy. Drove back, boom, and i'm on the bed. Another exhausting yet memorable new year's eve i've had.

ITS BEEN A YEAR.

It's been a while, time flies. Ups and downs of life, that's the phrase to describe what all of us have been through for the past 365 days, and now, we are one year older with another year old of sweet and bitter memories embedded fondly, deeply inside our mind. It's been a year since i last stepped out of AIMST as a foundation graduate, and i have now gained what i want to enter the the Medical programme. We've all been through repeated waves of problems and difficulties from studies to friendship, and that has definitely made us a stronger person for being a year older. Guess that's just what life is all about, forever changing and we're learning from it.

Well, set myself aside, our beloved nation Malaysia has also gone through lots of moment throughout the year. From the fleeting to the gravity-defying, from the heart-warming to the heart wrenching. We turned 50 with great joy, pomp and ceremony on Aug 31st. On Oct, a gravity-defying moment was recorded when our first Angkasawan Dr Syeikh Muzaphar Shukor blasted off into space on board the Russian Sotuz spacecraft. These shows that proud moments have been happening in this country, which made us to stand taller in the eyes of the world, making us feel prouder to be a Bangsa Malaysia.

It's been 19 years i have been living on this world, and i have been jotting every single bits of these moments into my memories hoping to get all of them in my mind. Well, since i'm currently 19 and have started a blog on my own, my walk of life will now officially jot down the 19 achievements i have made throughout year 2007.

19 Achievements in Year 2007

1. Managed to complete my foundation programme with promising results.
2. Got accepted into the Medical Programme which is my all time dream come true.
3. Scuba dive in Redang for the first time in my life. (It was only a discovery dive.)
4. Got my first prosumer camera with the money i earned and fell deeply for photography.
5. Accomplished my blog, the walk of life by regularly updating it. (Oh, regularly?)
6. Learned the CORRECT way of ironing clothes!
7. Survived for another year with the lousy food in my campus.
8. Done my first beach jump with Kenneth at Batu Ferringgi.
9. Visited Ipoh, Perak for the first time on a work trip.
10. Dealed online for the first time of my life through Lelong.com.my.
11. Discovered almost half of the good food in Penang.
12. Stopped washing my clothes after the Dobi Shop opened in my hostel.
13. Finished 3 seasons of Grey's Anatomy in 1 week time.
14. Continuously studied till 6am in the morning for 1 whole damned week.
15. Flying over to the Borneo Island for the first time of my life, Sarawak.
16. Tried and got addicted with authentic and original Sarawak's Curry Laksa.
17. I lost weight, unintendedly.
18. Earned my first 4 figured salary starting with the number 2 with an SPM cert.
19. Plot out and trying to succeed my New Year 2008 resolution!

Successfully entered the 13th batch MBBS programme.

Well, probably there's more than 19 achievements i have made throughout the year, but i guess these are the major ones i can think of right now. Till then, wishing you guys a happy happy New Year 2008! This post will mark an end to year 2007 and lets all usher year 2008 together, hoping it to be a much much better one! Happy New Year, guys. =]

Some tiny little updates on my life for the past few days, will be posting them all in detail once i've settled down. Busy packing up to leave for my friend's house tommorow morning. Heh.

So, first of all!

My finals over!! No more midnight studies, for at least the coming few months! Paper wasn't really that tough, hopefully able to pass them all. Wouldn't wanna repeat those stupid subjects next year, or i should say i have totally no time to repeat them AGAIN. Hah.

Secondly,

AIMST annual Christmas Party organised by students. Well, didn't managed to attend it due to some stupid reasons. Sad.

Our very own get-together party on Wednesday night with the CGES (Centre of General and Extracurricular Studies) lecturers before leaving for our holidays. Will be officially joining the School of Medicine next year, oh yeah! Anyway, the party was truly a great one. Well done and syabas to the whole of Batch 13! =]

Revisited the lovely island of Penang with on Friday. Fullfilled our craving for the all-time favourite oh-chean(Friend oysters) at Lebuh Kimberly, which i've mentioned before from my previous post, and also dropped by at Gurney Plaza and Queensbay Mall. Another great Penang trip i'd say.

And lastly,

Am leaving for holidays tommorow! A very long one indeed. Will be back to the beautiful city of Petaling Jaya this Sunday. So, for the time being, farewell to AIMST and also to the quiet town of Sungai Petani! We shall meet again on next year's January! Enjoy your holidays, folks!
