Tree Hill is a small town in North Carolina, home to the famous High School basketball team "The Ravens" and to half-brothers Lucas Scott (played by Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (played by James Lafferty). The first four seasons of the show focused on the trials and travails of the brothers and their female friends - Peyton Sawyer, Haley James and Brooke Davis - as they navigated high school and life. For the current season - it's fifth - the show's producer made the groundbreaking decision to skip past college (Hilarie Burton noted on TRL that the show had already addressed most potential "college" issues - marriage, pregnancy, date rape, etc.) and instead focus on the lives and jobs of the characters as young adults who are facing new battles in the real world.
