Scan of 1957 magazine: Glamour Photography
Here's a complete scan of a 1957 issue of Glamour Photography, with wonderfully weird front and back covers.
Glamour Photography is dedicated to that happy province of photography -- the creative interpretation of the girl beautiful. The magazine is designed to give the camera man a better understanding of the technical and philosophical aspects of photographing pretty girls.Link (Via PCL Linkdump)

There's not much in that magazine about the "technical aspects of photographing pretty girls"... :)
And isn't the "girl with the pixie puss" a famous actress? Her name escapes me at the moment...
anyone notice the prize puss girl is ellen burstyn?

I guess you had your eyes and mind somewhere else!....
I wonder why there's a girl's face censored with a grey square, it was one after the scan.
Yeah, the "pixie puss" gal looks more than a little like Ellen Burstyn.

The second photo above was swiped for the booklet to one of the Capitol Records "Ultralounge" series of space-age pop CDs. I wonder if they paid the artist for the rights?
