BROCKTON - Sammy Morris had no trouble swinging a bat, playing catch and running the bases during Kevin Faulk [stats]’s charity softball game Saturday night. Based on looks alone, he appears fully healed from the freak injury that ended his season prematurely last year.

Morris, who suffered a sternum clavicle separation in the third quarter of the Patriots [team stats]’ win at Dallas on Oct. 14, sounded equally encouraged by the status of his injury. The running back feels he’ll be ready to go today when passing camp starts in Foxboro.
