Daily Bite: Preventive Chocolate in the U.K.

According to a recent CNN report, scientists at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, believe cocoa could help prevent heart disease in women with diabetes. So they’ve drafted 100 lucky ladies to eat one bar of chocolate (specially developed by a Belgian maker, with added flavinoids and soy) every day for a year to test the theory. Downside: subjects must be postmenopausal and under the age of 70. Upside: you’re still free to eat chocolate; it just won’t be for good cause.
