The play, Your Only Man, will also reunite two stars of Father Ted: Ardal O’Hanlon and Pauline McLynn
Absurist writer O’Brien – whose real name was Brian O’Nolan – was a civil servant in Dublin during the Thirties and Forties, and regularly wrote for the Irish Times under the name Myles na gCopaleen. He also wrote books under his O’Brien pseudonym.
Your Only Man has been written by dramatist Annie Caulfield, and will air on August 31.
It is being produced by comic actor Gordon Kennedy through his independent company Absolutely Productions.
